Hello, am on Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy, and have Tracktion Waveform installed. Now I have various synth plugins and attendant libraries also installed. Try to use any of them, get 100% crash using any.
From what I read on this forum, this is about standard behavior for TW and nothing can be done about it.

(1) For a better experience on Linux, and if not well literate in Linux process handling, then deactivate the plugin sandbox feature. But if you know well how to kill a running process in Linux, then, you could use it and apply when necessary some manual help to the sandbox process where it needs it: On Linux, unfortunately, after the sandbox caught a buggy plugin and prevented it to crash all Waveform, it then stupidly forgets to close itself for closing the buggy plugin, and to then restart empty again to continue its duties. So, when Waveform appears frozen because the sandbox hangs it, kill the sandbox process manually, and then Waveform continues to work. Then restart the sandbox manually again from within the Waveform GUI, and go on. If the sandbox "disappeared" due the described things, then you will easily see this in the GUI shown to you, you can't miss it.
The sandbox process can be distinguished from the main Waveform process, because it has added suffix " --__bc_id_: * " to the name of the process, * being an ID "number", looking for instance like this:
/usr/bin/Waveform13 --__bc_id_:pb889931081ef1988
(2) If the plugins come in various formats, then try the various formats. If I remember correctly, then VST3 format of the Tracktion plugins trouble, while their same plugins in VST format work fine. Having been in contact with the support team about this, I expect this to be fixed by the next update.

Hello,
The sandbox was disabled by default, so I enabled that. The plugins now launched, only now there is no audio on some of them. Like, Attractive, Biotek and Retromod (though visually, I can see levels), no audio. But on others, there is audio. The settings are on ALSA. So I cannot work out why some virtual synths have audio and others do not...
