Hi guys,

After a long while here's the next update for SynthMaster 3: version 3.0.8. This update has exciting new features and bug fixes (I am not announcing it officially yet, as our official release will be announced for SynthMaster 3.1). Here are the dropbox links:

With this update, SynthMaster 3 can turn into a 16 part drum synth, with individual drum parts in separate layers. Check out our sample preset DRM Acoustic Kit 1 BB, which has acoustic drum samples in each layer for different drum kit parts. Also, when you open the master sequencer dialog, you can load different patterns on different parts of the keyboard. We are providing drum patterns Gerçek Dorman created for SynthMaster 2 as factory patterns. We will continue adding more patterns and drum kit presets!

Here is the change log for this update:

New Features:

1. Added favourite and hidden filters for preset browser
2. Added drum pattern load/save/copy/paste/duplicate menus for master sequencer dialog
3. Added saving sequencer drum kits as drum patterns
4. Added "new" icon to oscillator waveform controls to add new waveforms/samples/wavetables

Bug Fixes:

1. ADSR envelopes are not rendered correctly
2. When refreshing license key file, a new license for SynthMaster 2 should be created if it is missing
3. Creating random waveform crashes SynthMaster 3
4. When user restores SynthMaster One factory presets, SynthMaster One presets can not be loaded until the next restart
5. When user restores SynthMaster 2 factory presets, SynthMaster 2 presets can not be loaded until the next restart
6. Fine tune display/parameter range should be between -50/+50 cents
7. Arpeggiator might cause hanging hotes in Chord mode
8. Arpeggiator doesn't play notes after the first one correctly in Chord mode
9. If user edits ADSR envelope attack/decay/release times by typing, the value resets to the minimum after editing
10. When number of steps is increased for a drum sequence, all new notes should be cleared
11. When loading a preset for a layer effect rack, the fx output in the routing view disconnects from its input(s)

Great update so far, but a bug still exist in Studio One 7 on win11 64bit: If I change a preset both modwheel and pitchbend do not visually respond on keyboard inputs. Soundwise all is working well.

Help, how in the heck do you turn off OSC key tracking? Im bugged out right now lmao

Click Keytrack, set it to 0 for the amount setting.

I was messing around with Synthmaster 3 yesterday and found if you crank the quality setting, the per voice filter gain is quite good compared to a lot of the competition. I’d love to see more gain/distortion type options for it, like a tube drive. Something really blistering.

I experimented a bit with a preset I had made earlier. I added a 2nd filter after the first one (serial) with the pre-gain and drive turned up quite a bit on both filters. :)

I'd still like to have settings for different distortion types like you mentioned.

Where tho? Seems rather confusing to find a global, or osc based keytrack. Its in the mod drop down menu, but direct access is rather unintuitive to find and figure out how to do this with the granular oscillator

Not sure where it is actually for the Granular osc....since I did try it here (set it to 0%) and it didn't work. I think that's a Bulent question. :)

I figured, must be an oversight in the design. Hope he can take a look and add keytracking to the granular oscillator. I like to use keytracking to control position rather than pitch when using granular

I just noticed when I set that to 0% for Key tracking on that part of the "Sample" screenshot above, close the edit window, and then go back into that edit screen again, it switches it back to 100% again.

I forgot to mention to make sure you have a limiter on the master as the stuck notes can sometimes be louder than the normal volume of the patch.

This issue is now fixed in v3.0.8. Another arp chord issue is fixed as well (first step of the arp is not played correctly in Chord mode)
