I know this is a bit niche and very specific, but it would be wonderful if Mulab could output voices seperately in a roundrobin way for synths/samplers. This would be very useful for experimental music, sound installations, crazy analog summing situations, live performances etc.

What are you using for voice generation? PolySynth by its nature isn't a layered monosynth... If you want layering with that, you'd need to despatch events to separate instances (using round robin / velocity despatch / whatever) and layer the audio outs externally, I think. (Or dump PolySynth and use multiple separate MUX Modulars...)

Thanks, but I am not looking for a workaround.
Ideally you could configure signal generator and filter modules to have more than one output (that usually sums the voices), so that each voice gets outputed on an individual red outlet in a round robin way.
There could be two solutions for this
A.) Generators and ideally Audio Effects as well could be configured to have more than 1 Voice Output.
B.) A new device is introduced that looks like the Audio Dispatcher, that is able to take a polyphonic output and split the voice into individual audio streams, although I would find this the cleanest soution, it probably would introduce a lot of changes code wise.
This would really be a great feature for MuLab that would make it even more modular and also let you create more specialized appications, which is what modular systems are all about in my opinion.
Little Mock up:

I'm probably missing something. Plz forgive me that.
I do agree, that the mutli voice modules could be built in their own MUX. If could probably look like what you have there. But what I am imagining, to finish the idea, is automated routing. I think that has a lot of potential, for plenty of things. Maybe even an adjustable fade between route transitions; but, the routing aside, that could be accomplished with existing automation.
Again, if I've butchered my own comprehension of what you are trying to accomplish, I am sorry.
Prior to this, I've given Jo a wish list. Now I'm just blooming with treats I'd like to have.
