Hi Rob,

Thanks for the bug report, I will look into this.
I second this. I was able to go into the sample window, switch keytracking to 0, exit the window, and keytracking off did work for the granular sampler. I was then able to modulate my position using keytracking. There are a number of bugs in the granular sampler though. Along with the keytracking being reset if you choose a new sample, and the value going back to 100, there is also the problem of direction. The direction is meant to slow down the speed in which the grains move right? If you reduce the direction below 100+, it could potentially accidentally reverse the direction sporadically. I hope this helps

Do you mean it only played one pitch after setting key track to 0% like it does with the basic osc? The gran osc didn’t seem to work right for me, since it played any note/pitch from the keyboard when I tried it out set to 0%.

Yea, it only works with samples you drag and drop in yourself from your own personal samples, not the ones that come with SM3

I just tried it with one of my own samples and I see what you mean. It does work that way when it's set to 0%, just not with the SM3 content (AFAIK).

Changing it to 0% makes it work with my samples, but then if you go back in to that edit screen, it changes to 100% yet again. The good part is that at least it still plays just the one pitch as originally intended.

Just updated SM3 to version 3.0.8 (REV 15775) moments ago (VST3) only.

When using SM 3 via Komplete Kontrol v2.9.6 - all the preset previews seem to be fine - audible when I scroll thru them via the Browser button on my S61 MKII - but when I select SM3 as the instrument on the S61, select a v3 preset and then Press Load on the S61 - KK simply throws down a spinning circle and SM3 never launches.

I rolled back to REV 15612 and SM3 now loads perfectly in KK v2.9.6

Something is definitely not working in 15775 over here anyway.

Will investigate, thanks for the bug report. The wavetable view might cause a crash in this build (I fixed that already but not released yet), it could be related to that.

The sample editor window is not showing the correct parameter value for sample keytrack. I fixed that, will be in the next build.

Have another observation (with Komplete Kontrol) that I would like to understand better.

When I install SM3 - and then run the standalone and pull down ALL my expansion content - all my libraries appear - nice and tidy - inside SM3 and all of them can be run and accessed within SM3 without me ever needing to install SM1 or SM2.

But once the SM3 installer (and the process that not only pulls down my expansion content but also my NKS content) finishes it's setup - when I go back into Komplete Kontrol and scroll thru the vendors to KV331 - I now see 3 instruments listed - SM1, SM2 and SM3.

Of course if I want to use any patches from my expansions - they do not appear under the SM3 instrument - they appear under either SM1 or SM2 - which of course are not installed and I get a KK load error. Same for any expansions that were linked to the SM2 era.

To be clear - ideally - I have no intent on installing SM 1 and 2 - since all my existing content presumably works just fine in SM3 as shown in the standalone SM3 desktop install.

So - why does SM3 on the desktop allow me to access everything via a singular SM3 instance while the Komplete Kontrol world requires me to have to (begrudgingly) install SM1 and SM2 just to be able to get value out of my expansions and clog up my Komplete Kontrol experience - having to install 3 instruments instead of ONLY SM3 and access all expansions within Komplete Kontrol?

Because loading a preset via KK is NOT the same as loading a preset inside SM3. KK requires its own presets.

Fair enough.

So to gain full value with all my expansions AND be able to use them within KK - I must install SM1 and SM2?

OK - I have decided to "add" SM1 and SM2 in the DAW so I can use all my expansions within Komplete Kontrol.

I have questions about SM1 setup - what is best practice for this checkbox (IF SM3 is already installed and presumably - all my NKS content is already installed as well):

Do I leave this on or off? I do not want to mess up the NKS layout that SM3 has already laid down

Please advise

On. NKS content for SM1 and SM2 are read from different locations by KK

Thanks but...

I have not installed SM1 or SM2 yet - but the NKS content for those two - seems to have been previously (and correctly) installed by the SM3 installer.

As I noted in my prior post from this morning - I already see SM1 and SM2 as selectable instruments in Komplete Kontrol. All presets are all listed and even the previews (via my keyboard) are already working - without any sign of the actual SM1 or SM2 plugins.

Of course - if I try to load an SM1 preset - I get an instant error in KK saying the plugin is not installed - which is correct.

If all this NKS stuff is already in place - why would I need to install it again?
