Did you turn on the strum parameter when that happended? hanging notes are usually related to using strumming with the arp. I thought I fixed it, but looks like not completely.

Then I got this twice. It happened while loading my own presets into Layers from within the Browser. I did have Fixed Size Buffers On in FLS :

Could you possibly send me those presets so I can test?

I was wondering about how the new Waveshaper effect works.
Someone here on KVR mentioned frequency domain manipulation works well for wave shaping, but I am not sure exactly how this new effect module even operates.

No, I did not have the Strum parameter activated.

Sure, here's about a dozen or so.

I think the issue is with trying to load several patches that have multiple layers themselves into layers. I need to work on that more see what's going on.

I did get another crash in Waveform Pro so I'm going to put SM3 aside for a bit. It seems to not like my system but the other synths I use on a daily basis don't seem to have the same issue.

I'm having a new studio system delivered tomorrow so within the next couple of weeks I'll get SM3 installed on it and see if its more stable for me then.

We have a new update for SynthMaster 3: The version number is still 3.0.9, revision is now 15817. I made this update avaiable for all users, so you can check for updates inside the plugin window to download it.

There are 3 important new features:

1. Poly Glide: This was a long time asked feature request. For poly glide to work, please set the layer voices to a low value like 6 or 8. and change the voice allocation to Analog (by default it is Digital). Please keep in mind that glide only works when the previous note state was On or when the Slide "S" button is turned on.

2. Voice modifiers for Basic Oscilllators: Basic oscillators are the most widely used oscillators, so I added voice modifiers to volume, pan, detune, phase and tone parameters. I am going to be spending the next 2 weeks creating some Oberheim type poly analog presets to demonstrate how voice modifiers can be used to create analog sounds

3. Layer number of voices can now be changed with increments of 2 voices. So you can have a layer with 6 or 10 voices.

There are also critical bug fixes:

1. Granular oscillator might crash SynthMaster 3 when layer voice allocation is static or layer poly mode is mono
2. Vector oscillator x/y axis values are not loaded correctly from SynthMaster 2 presets
3. When a dialog is moved, views behind it stay invisible
4. Distortion effect is not initialized correctly causing clicks upon initialization
5. After a preset is loaded, midi listener controls such as pitch bend slider / mod wheel slider / piano view stop responding to midi messages
6. Preset author is not read correctly from SynthMaster One presets

on the Va analog VCF resonance?

As for the volume compensation for VAnalog / Ladder / Diode Ladder filters: We have the "Boost" button for this purpose

Love all the furious action on fixes - but is there any movement on these latest SM3 builds actually working in Komplete Kontrol v2.9.6?

Not really motivated to keep downloading all these new builds - just to have to roll back again.

Appreciate any updates on this.

...that bug still exist in Studio One 7 on Win11 64bit. After switching to another preset both modweel and pitchbend do not move anymore.

I am using the latest build Bulent just mentioned about.
My DAW is Cakewalk and am using Windows 10.

Did you try loading them into layers? Right Click on Patch Name and select "Load on Layer"? That was causing some crashes here.

Like I said it could be something with my system but it's a system that runs 1,000 plugins and a couple of dozen synth plugins that I use on a daily basis without any such issues, at least in recent memory. I don't remember any of the top ten synths I use crashing so make of that as you will.

I'm going to try on the new studio system to see if SM3 is more stable there but it will be a while until I get it installed.

It is important to know the exact names of presets / the whole steps that caused the crash. I also tested with those presets by loading them into layers, but did not get any crashes

Well I don't know what to tell you, it's not like I'm making it up for whatever reason. I'm not beta testing your plugin I'm just using it as I would any other synth. I didn't bother to note the "exact names of presets" or the steps, it simply crashes while in normal use.

I'm using it just like I do the other synths in my collection which have not crashed for me since I upgraded to SM3 which has crashed multiple times on two DAWS. So again make of that as you will.

I'll let you know how it works on the new system with a fresh install.
