I also have a 4080 Super and on a 4K 120Hz screen with the GUI open with 150% scaling (Avenger scaling, not Windows) the GPU usage is about 28% with peak to 32%. But if I scale the GUI to 60% (minimum that I still find usable) then GPU usage doesn't go above 16%. So maybe try to scale down the GUI as much as you can tolerate.Gam456 wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 2:11 amI confirm, GPU peak from 3% to 40% with GUI. open the explorer enter %appdata% and go into the vengeance folder, then avenger folder and open the config_v2.xml with an editor.
locate the value <UseOpenGL value="false"/> and set it to <UseOpenGL value="true"/>
save the file and check if that helped with your GPU.

Not realy. I still have high peak around 33%
Only a smaller GUI can help.
There is something wrong with GPU.
For exemple, Dune 3 is around 5% with a bigger GUI.

scale 160% = 33%trevdog wrote: Mon Dec 23, 2024 10:27 am when you say smaller GUI, how small do you mean? and how much does it help?
scale 100% = 13%
100% it's unusable on a 4k - 32'

When selecting presets from factory 2 content, sound gets muted, you can see something is going on in background, but no sound comes from synth. You can hear sound just for preview preset, after that, when selecting and clicking that preset, no sound. Other presets works fine, just from factory 2 content.
I'm not going to dig deeper than that, I have installed back version 2.3.0 and everything works just fine.
they uploaded a fixed version for 2.3.1 on nov. 25, may try to re-download and install the latest 2.3.1

I just got VPS Scope and I think it's great, thank you! I was wondering if your other plugins still require a dongle and are they all resizable?

As a Christmas present I received CPU + mobo + RAM upgrade. If I install all of this, will Avenger stay authorized or is it better to deauthorize for the machine and then reauthorize after the upgrade?

If I were you I'd deauthorize everything that tracks activations by machine ID, including and especially any ilok licenses using machine auth. Don't want to end up e-mailing 20 different developers to ask for a reset.SouledOut wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2024 6:38 pm As a Christmas present I received CPU + mobo + RAM upgrade. Vengeance allows you to simply revoke an authorization from their website, but IMO it's a pretty safe bet that changing a motherboard changes the machine ID used for authorization

I see there is still a 50% discount. How is Avengers 2.2 these days on Mac? Avenger 1 had all kinds of annoying audio spikes which made it unusable and last time I checked, this was not fixed with Avenger 2 either.
Also, it seems Nexus 5 is finally open. Wouldn’t that make Avenger obsolete then, especially with how “lightweight” Nexus is on the CPU?

Nexus 5 is definitely win in CPU department. Soundeise they are quite similar. Nexus 5 is more focused on sampled stuff, Avenger is more focused on synthesis. If I could choose, I would go with Nexus.

I was thinking about this. Certainly the lines have got a lot more blurry and the old stock answers don't apply. I'm going with Avenger is a synth than can also be preset machine, Nexus is a preset machine that can also be a synth.Bla28 wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 4:40 pm Also, it seems Nexus 5 is finally open.
