Sound Quality is highly subjective topic people use to defend their fav software and I already mentioned Surge XT is objectively better. I am not a fan of any plugin.
Why did Lennar Digital never release another Synth?

It doesn't even have osc-sync ..it's a synth for people afraid of synthesis and that's why it's popular (and probably a succes since it's feature set has remained unchanged for the past 18 years )

At that time you had fabfilter twin which filter's sounded equally as good if not better , even the reaktor ensemble 2 osc ( that came with reaktor 5 ) set to 2* oversampling sounded better , with great filter fm etc..

Sylenth has a decent sounding filter , but how would it behave under extreme conditions ?
There are 10 thousands of presets made for Sylenth1 if not more... this thing was used in countless productions...
Never have heard of that about Twin...
How is this possible with without Osc Sync, PWM and ZDF filters??
The question is of course meant sarcastically... no need to answer it...
but it can do PWM, you just have to set it up (versus having it built-in) and then it works.-

It's better now, but when it came out it wasn't. I don't think it sold well, that's why it's free and open source now. It had a very chunky sound like the DCAM Synth Squad stuff. (R.I.P.)

My guess it was a one person show who probably had alot of time when it was released vs having other priorities now.
Another guess is Sylenth made them so much money that they don't need to worry about releasing anything. They could have already been financially well off anyways.

I remember when Sylenth first came out. It seemed like everyone was using it in dance music. I didn’t get it right away because I was still spending a lot of time with my Access Virus.
I did end up buying it later because I thought it sounded very pleasant to my ears, and I could program patches that were very similar to my Virus patches. Although, I did use different effects instead of the onboard ones to get the exact sound I wanted.
If there was ever a Sylenth 2, it would need something special to make it stand out from other VST’s. There are so many excellent synths to choose from today that cover a lot of different territory. But I would love to see it become a reality if it’s at all possible. And I think that a lot of people would check it out.
