I may be wrong, but I only remember 50% discount on updates and upgrades during the summer sale; personally, I upgraded my copy of Komplete only in the summer

Maybe this topic has already been discussed here, but I couldn't find anything about it:
Native Instruments has not only given a 50% discount on the “normal” product range during the last few Christmas periods, but also 50% on Updates/Upgrades, right????
Now they only offer 20% on Updates/Upgrades...
Or am I wrong...?

I upgraded from 13 to 14 Ultimate for $199.50 on 06/17/2923. I think that was the first time the upgrade went up for sale for 50 percent off.

I do feel a twinge of anger that a person can buy the 15 Ultimate product now for 50% off retail but the upgrade is only 20% off. It sort of flies in the face of loyal and longtime customers (my download serials go back to Komplete 4).

The "updates" is more or less just crap-fillers from Plugin Alliance, etc, who they swollowed

The new investor-boys who took over NI ,.. dont maintain and develope the Komplete-
universe anylonger with a true stream of new NI-substance and true continuity

The Komplete-universe and eco-system we supported, and bought into in trust, included
NKS-products and dedicated Controllers/keyboards, is all being being devaluated IMHO

As for the investor-owners, I guess its their plan, they are just pressing out the last juice

I only upgrade Kontakt from here, and only when absolutely nessesary

Upgrading to Hardware based Arc 4 they didnt honnor my old Arc 3 licence at all

Yeah as soon as they started adding in PA and Izotope fluff to the Komplete releases I stopped upgrading. It's a complete waste of money now.

Skip upgrades. If you have 14, most likely you won't gain much with 15. I'm still on 12 and am not upgrading until I've fully used up what's in there.

I have 12 CE but upgraded to 15 Standard on sale to get Kontakt 8 and Guitar Rig Pro. There was enough new sample content to keep me interested along with the updated applications at an acceptable price. I won’t upgrade CE for a long time or perhaps ever. There is too much in there that just won’t get used.

I'm still on Komplete 10 ultimate and I only update Kontak whenever it's the cheapest. I honestly don't use 90% of what's there, and then I got Guitar Rig 7 when getting an izotope bundle.
I would really recommend to skip versions... like a couple at least. It doesn't make any sense updating every year, unless you are a power user I guess.

Yeah, that is a good point. Also maybe wait until I actually *need* Kontakt 8 for something.

I agree that all that the updates really contain are Kontakt instruments and Maschine expansions.
