Well everyone and their mother has released an 1176, are those all the same too? I guess we should all just pick any random one and call it a day..
I asked ChatGPT to create a comparison table, not sure how correct this one is though :D

Welp, that’s it, AI just said it better than any of us. Thanks for the good times, everyone!

Sweet I've got the top 3 faithful.. This means I have golden ears like Bob Ludwig right??

This is like that scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade when he gets the grail, 'You chose, wisely'.

If only it wasn't all just random hogwash, right?

APP's "I, Robot" is not even 50 years old, and now it seems we are already facing the twilight of humanity. ;)

Hmm, would androids ever wear headphones or earbuds, or would they just generate or receive music in their cognitive cores?

Maybe when wealthy geezers get themselves uploaded into new chassis there might be a market for high-end boutique ear systems.

I agree, and I have been thinking of getting the Luna Pro Bundle now (although that would be foolishly investing in something for what it might become -- kind of similar to Studio One 7) and then the UAD Producer Bundle the next time it's on sale -- but either of those would keep me tethered to iLok* and Windows and hinder my intended transition to using only Linux.

If you purchase from their own site, you'll get a 25$ voucher (or instead the Pultec bundle if you don't have it yet - it is included in both bundles though)... that promotion is just about to expire however (albeit of course there'll be the next one and then the next one and then the one after that)

Seems legit.

Of course everything ChaptGPT knows comes from information and opinions on the internet. It’s aggregated and weighted by frequency of occurrence, so it does accurately reflect the sum total of consensus. This would make it as “correct” as statistically possible.

But it’s still just “popular opinion” at the end of the day.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Yeah, but I notice sometimes ChatGPT can answer completely incorrect. For instance, yesterday I wanted ChatGPT to do a comparison between Hans Zimmer and Ludwig Göransson. Zimmer only has one Oscar (Lion King from 1994), even though he has produced the OST for over a hundred large and semi large movies. Göransson has two, Black Panther and Oppenheimer. I knew this, I just wanted to know how many movies they have been producing the OST for. ChatGPT left out Oppenheimer completely, and when I pointed this out it stated that it was not Ludwig Göransson who created the OST for Oppenheimer, it was Ludwig Göransson. So based on my experience, from many occasions, you cannot fully trust the output.

That would be nice. I have the USB-C version that I use for my MacBook. Even though it's smaller than the USB-A version, it is still way too big to leave on there all the time for me.

Is it normal for UADx plugins to open greyed out and then come into focus?

I assume you don't have an ilok dongle? That's basically the 'loading' screen while they ping UA Connect/Ilok Cloud, or at least that's what I've surmised.

It really irritated me at first, as I have many UAD plugins on DSP and they load instantly. You get used to it, if that's any consolation.

Yes, it's normal. I experience it on both Windows and Mac, although the blurriness subsides quicker on Mac for me.

Bought the Guitar bundle for £99 which gave me Spark free for a whole year. I think that's a pretty decent deal.

I actually have a iLok dongle, it seems weird that the plugins would need to phone home?
I've also had the experience where opening a project with UAD plugin's, A UAD installer would launch and announce that UAD connect needs an update.
Both are annoying. Evidently, the price you pay to make sure your plugins feel safe.
