Without further adieu, the public Beta of Final Mix for Tracktion Macintosh users is now available. Simply log into your account at http://my.mackie.com to download. The link can be found under the standard Tracktion download links.
Simply unzip and place the entire folder in either of your VST directories:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
Launch Tracktion and enjoy.
This is a public beta. We have no known issues after both our in house and external beta cycle. If you discover any problems, please post to this thread, or send an email to techmail@mackie.com describing in detail your problem, steps to reproduce, and your system configuration.
Thanks and happy Finalmixing!
Ben

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but I can't get Tracktion to recognize it. FM shows up as a "file to ignore". I've re-scanned, purged and moved the plugin directory around, but still no go. OSX 10.2.8 with most recent NFR Tracktion.

The _MACOSX folder contains a similar structure to (what I'm assuming is) the os9 folder, but the preset folder is empty and the FinalMixTracktion.vst file is a folder with more directories. Is this by design? I've never seen that before. I've tried the entire unzipped directory and every permutation of sub-folders with no success of tracktion recognition. Is this why it's a beta or am I doing something totally stupid?

actually Ron, this does affect you, as it affects all of us using Tracktion, whether on PC or Mac. It means that Mackie is keeping promises made to it's users. This is a very good thing for all of us that use and love Tracktion.

I don't own a Mac yet, but this week I'll be getting a brand new Mac laptop as part of my enrollment in school, so I can now use Final Mix on either system! Thanks Beno!
