Code drops are pretty common on message boards around the holidays. It's the same reason the homeless eat well this time of year.
Now that the holidays are over, we can get back to our regular programming of crickets and complaining about other stuff.

There’s no controversy.BBFG# wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2025 10:22 pm Why is it so hard to simply make your own thread and post the link to it here?
That worked great for me and apparently kept this thread clear of all the controversy.
I think too many just want to comment indignacies for their own sake.
Even if they have to resort to haiku to do it.
A few people grumble when the conversation veers after someone asks about the legitimacy of sharing.
Otherwise people can do whatever they want and if making your own thread works for you, then great.

And it appears to happen every time.

It`s acually a cumbersome way:Uncle E wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:53 amIt's a nice way to get Acustica quality at more reasonable prices. Also, the owner's father-in-law gave my daughters Swarovski key chains, so I'm personally quite fond of them.Omkar wrote: Sun Dec 29, 2024 3:56 am Question to Uncle E,
I sometimes see JRR Prime Studio sales like recent
50% off Prime Studio Sparkle Bundle.
I still don`t know how to deal with them for various reasons
and I don`t see users` feedback but I remain curious yet.
My question here is:
do you happen to have checked PS plugins in practical terms
& can share some feedback?
Thank you.
-you need to have an extra AA account for PS (I have)
-PS support cant tell which Kernel they oprate = no idea about performance etc.
and and and ...
so I`m asking users for practical experience (crickets on forums).
You would be the right one for me, combining retailer & user.
Can you say anything about cpu etc. compared to genuine AAs of your choice
(I have almost all).

You didn't ask over at the thread on Gearspace, where people who have been using them have made a bunch of posts:Omkar wrote: Fri Jan 03, 2025 2:51 pm so I`m asking users for practical experience (crickets on forums).

30 day trials are available too so you can check how much cpu they use on your system and whether you'll have enough cpu given what else is going on in your projects.
Personally I demoed Raven Strike and their spring reverb, liked them but not enough to buy so far given what I already have and my budget. With Raven Strike the Telefunken pre didn't give as much sense of added depth as many Acustica pres do. But the combination of different hardware units in Raven Strike provides nice cascades of complementary colors / saturation, a bit like Silver Bullet Mk2 (which I also didn't buy after demoing). The spring reverb is good but not what I'm going for (I mostly use spring reverb for Mitski-style vocals). No cpu issues in my tests but the only other active plugins were in the vocal chain.

I'll ask Prime Studio about the kernel. While I own several Acustica plugins and love the sound, I rarely use them and can't comment about CPU usage.Omkar wrote: Fri Jan 03, 2025 2:51 pm It`s acually a cumbersome way:

OK, I tested the Sparkle Bundle against Water. Using Luna's meter as a gauge on my M2 Max, Prime Curve and Prime Mix don't register, and Prime Comp is about 1%. In comparison, Water with preamp off doesn't register and is 3% with preamp on. I was able to get Water and Prime Curve to sound pretty close to one another but Water can obviously do a lot more.Omkar wrote: Fri Jan 03, 2025 2:51 pm It`s acually a cumbersome way:

All three Sparkle Bundle plugins were updated in December 2023. Maybe that can give you an idea of what kernel they're using? I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

Thanks for explaining. I was little bit confused, because it says AB Assist (bot not mentioned new version).emulator01 wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 2:25 pmYou will get the NUGEN Audio AB Assist 2 License Code for free at the end of the survey.yzcoruhT wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 2:02 pm Does anybody know if this survey and 100USD voucher qualifies me to use it to get AB Assist2 for free?
