I kinda get a 50/50 result when sidechaining with Nova. I typically like to sidechain the bass frequencies of the bass guitar to the drum I'm using, and the bass frequencies of my vocal (I have a fairly baritone voice) to the bass, guitar to the vocal, etc. But for whatever reason, it doesn't come alive for all of the tracks. Bass to drum is usually okay, vocal to bass okay, but then I may not see any activity on the meter with sidechaining to another track.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
(BTW, just chaining via the actual plugin to said track(s).)
Thanks

Hello, Happy New Year.
If I was able to figure it out correctly, then after you specified the sidechain track you need in the properties of the plugin in Waveform, you should select the sidechain source as external in the upper-right corner of NOVA - click the "IntSC" button and select "ExtSC" to make sure that sidechain works, remove the signal source itself that you you are trying to compress and make sure that the compression continues to work based only on the sidechain signal.

Yup, that's precisely how I've been doing it, though I believe the track selection for me is on the top left of the plugin.
Do you know if it's perhaps necessary to do them in a particular order? I've been doing IntSC, ExtSC and then selecting the track I want to use last.

There is a saidchain selection in the upper-left corner, only if you have disabled the plugin sandbox, otherwise, by selecting the plugin, the saidchain option will appear at the bottom of the screen in the middle. there is no difference in order, the difference is only in the combination of both options and is standard for all plug-ins with support for saidchain equalizer compression, be careful.
