Thank you so much!
Checked it out. Works fine!

There's one more perfectionist question (can be ignored if you think it doesn't deserve attention):

The new RACK module front panel of v10 contains more elements then the one of v9. So good space utilization gets more critical (esp. for me as I tend to build large GUIs with many RACKs). At the same time v10 front panel takes more pixels for the space between the slots and for the space between the slot row and the slider. Is it possible to restore the previous (v9) sizes of these elements (maybe as an option in Front Panel Editor)? Or maybe make these sizes configurable? This could provide more efficient use of screen space.

Thanks a lot

I understand and respect your question but i'm sorry to say that's not planned, for various reasons mainly to avoid bloating and complication for both the user and the code, and to have a relevant amount of uniformity not only inside/between front panels but also in relation to the global Mu-Gui., 2 reasons which go hand in hand.

Got it. Thank you!

Hello,
I have another general suggestion for a feature:
Would it be a lot of effort to provide a generic MIDI target for the MIDI mapping that allows the "Focused Parameter" as a target? That would make external control of VST parameters much easier and much more flexible IMHO, in the sense of "One Encoder to rule them all". (In the Reaper DAW, for example, there is a similar option for addressing the "Last Touched Parameter".)

Its implemented afaik. Move a parameter and its the one focused

Bug?

Hopefully I'm calling things with the right names...

I've made a Microtonic-Multi Rack (MM-Rack).
The MM is in the first slot of the MM-Rack.
Inside the MM-Rack modular panel, I added 8 Racks for each MM outputs.
Those 8 Racks are now showing in the expanded MM-Rack side panel as expected.

In the Gear menu of the MM-Rack there are these two commands:
*Toggle Slots
*Toggle Rack Desk

*Toggle Slots > Collapse the MM-Rack Slots "only" if the MM-Rack panel is open (I think it's correct).
*Toggle Rack Desk > If this command has a shortcut assigned to it, using the shortcut key(s), it toggles the whole Rack Desk making it appear or disappear (that is as it was before in v9.x)

BUT (bug (?)

If I choose that command (Toggle Rack Desk), via Menu, then it Toggles just the MM-Rack side Panel (which is very useful in this case, making the MM-Rack behaving like a Folder  )

Is it possible to have both behaviors with 2 different shortcuts to cover both scenarios?

You're right, there indeed is an ambiguity issue:
There is a function to toggle the whole rack desk, it's called "Toggle Rack Desk".
And there is a different function to toggle the sub-rack desk inside a rack panel, but currently it's also called "Toggle Rack Desk". In the next M10.0.29 update the function to toggle the sub-rack desk inside a rack panel will be called "Toggle Sub-Rack Desk". You may have to reassign the shortcut then.

Thank you Jo.

No, maybe I have not explained good enough.

Of course I can move a parameter and it becomes the focused parameter. What I mean is the other way round: I move an encoder on my MIDI controller and the CC value (= MIDI source) passed on should be able to address the "Focused Parameter" as a target. This way I don't have to create a separate MIDI mapping for every single parameter that I want to control from the MIDI controller. And as far as I know, that is not yet implemented. In my Streamdeck setup I use buttons to touch a parameter, and then I would be able to use just one encoder on the deck to change the value of that parameter.

MuLab App M10.0.29 beta for Windows 64 bit is available on https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • Resolved a function shortcut ambiguity between "Toggle Rack Desk" and "Toggle Sub-Rack Desk".
  • Other small improvements.
