Please help me find that blue synth of my dreams (well... litterally...)

There is a blue arp from another thread on this forum:
https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ ... autoplay=1
But the dream was symbolic. What does the color blue mean to you? And what could be represented by a synthesizer?

Mmmm... I think it represents the wish of getting the perfect synth actually.Constructed Identity wrote: Tue Jan 07, 2025 9:42 pm There is a blue arp from another thread on this forum:

So it needs to be a fully featured one, with a keyboard as long as possible, as I'm a piano player. But thanks anyway, I'll listen to the video.
It was just a dream, I'm trying a shot in the dark. Better than strictly nothing. Maybe my instincts were right, maybe not, but I have to try.

Well, I am pretty sure there are no 88-key blue synthesizers. I have a 61-key 3rd Wave which I love. It's got a nice keyfeel and a large easy-to-see screen. 3 oscillators, great effects, and auto pan spread. It is 4-part multi-timbrel which is great for sending things left and right for complex sounds. In short, the 3rd Wave is a dream.
But, until you have actually played with one, you would never know that. So, are you actually psychic?
Do you see things that have yet to happen?

I know it's against your parameters, but Korg Triton Extreme came in 76 or 88 key models and the only reason I mention them is they were often dubbed the "Blue Meanies" especially if they were optioned with the MOSS board and blue tube. Other than that, nothing what you were asking for.

It's a Viscount joint venture with Oberheim and it's written on the front and back panel, so OP might have remembered only the Viscount part. Also, Oberheim purists like to emphasize the Viscount part.

Absolutely not, and I do not believe in such things.Constructed Identity wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2025 1:02 am So, are you actually psychic?

I’m simply trying to see if luck could help me here...

Do you recall the synthesis engine(s) used and/or any patches?

I once had a dream where I was writing an amazing song. When I woke up, I ran over to a guitar to start trying to figure it out and after a bit I realized I'd written Free Falling by Tom Petty.

Very nice. A Triton with a MOSS board is an excellent instrument. I have the 88 weighted key model, only silver and no MOSS boardBBFG# wrote: Wed Jan 08, 2025 1:49 am I know it's against your parameters, but Korg Triton Extreme came in 76 or 88 key models and the only reason I mention them is they were often dubbed the "Blue Meanies" especially if they were optioned with the MOSS board and blue tube. I had two of 76 key models, both with the MOSS boards. Sold them to keep afloat during a bear market. The compensation being when I got the Kronos X when it returned. There's a part of me that wishes I had every synth and keyboard (and guitar) I ever had all now. But I'm okay with just having the history of them all and what I have to (over)compensate for them.Uncle E wrote: Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:51 amVery nice. Sometimes it happens to me very often that I write songs in my dreams. I never really tried to do anything from these melodies as they were much more enjoyable while dreaming.
No, the dream ends with : this is the synth I’ve been waiting for.FranklyFlawless wrote: Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:29 am Do you recall the synthesis engine(s) used and/or any patches?
Just a dream, I know. But who knows ?
I already got excellent suggestions and have to investigate.
