Sure thing. I'll send you some of them.

Thanks!

I managed to import the files you sent me via drag-n-drop. The root notes were read correctly from the 2 sample sets you sent me:

import 1.jpg
import 2.jpg

Then what could be the reason it doesn't read them correctly on my system? I have the latest update of SM3 (v3.1.0 rev 15845) and I'm using the VST3 version of the plugin in Bitwig. I also tested this issue with SM3 (vst3) loaded in BlueCat's Patchwork and I get the same results.

And what about the other thing I asked previously, the user manual? Is it not available yet?

When I make a step lfo, and I put the mode to global, the lfo often keeps cycling the first step only. Not always, but often enough to notice it. When I put it back to poly or something else, it runs through all the steps again. Reloading Cubase Elements 12 and Synthmaster 3 fixes this, or deleting the lfo and trying again until I get one that isn't stuck. I use rev15845.

Are you importing the samples via drag-n-drop in Automatic Import mode ?

User manual is not completed yet.

Yes.

Hi guys, we have a new update for SynthMaster 3: rev 15867. Please check for updates inside the plugin window to download and install this update.

New Features:

1. Added portamento slope parameter, with 2 settings: Linear (default) and Exponential. Exponential is the behavior we see in analog synths

Bug Fixes:

1. Loading a preset into a layer might delete mod matrix entries for other layers
2. Step LFO doesn't move to the next step when trigger type is set to Global
3. SynthMaster 3 might crash when a popup window is open and a new preset is loaded
4. Dark and White skins missing cogwheel icon for main menu

Yes.
Maybe you can try deleting the samples database and try again.

Windows:

c:\users\public\public documents\synthmaster3\synthmastersamplesfolders.txt
c:\users\public\public documents\synthmaster3\synthmastersamples.wfdb

Mac:

/users/shared/synthmaster3\synthmastersamplesfolders.txt
/users/shared/synthmaster3\synthmastersamples.wfdb

I tried that but it didn't solve the issue. It seems that this problem appear only with samples that have a number in the file name that is before the note name. For example "JGuitar1_harm_A#4_vl3.wav" . If I delete that "1" on all the files then SM3 maps them correctly. Fortunately I don't have that many sample sets like this and I can rename them, so this is not such a big deal.
Instead, what I found to be much more problematic is the RoundRobin feature. It doesn't seems to work. Not only that it doesn't work when I import samples in SM3 and set them to be played in a roundrobin fashion but it also doesn't work when I import sfz files that contain roundrobin information. The same sfz files imported in Sforzando play correctly but not in SM3.

I have the same issue with all the synthmasters where the notes will stick after usually pushing more than one at a time. I love this synth and deal with it but am looking for some kind of idea of what to do. I've changed midi controller and daws and it still does it.

Are you finding this happens with all patches? No such issues here. If not, one of the patches was found to have a missing layer envelope IIRC.

The ones you sent me were not named like that. But I will rename them and test that scenario as well.

Is this 100% reproduceable for you? Since I can not reproduce it on my end, I would need further details from you to be able to reproduce it. I believe yours is an isolated case.

What is your DAW?
What is your MIDI controller?
Does this happen when playing live?
Does it happen for ALL presets? or SOME? which ones? Please give as much detail as possible so that we can reproduce this isue on our end!

Yes they were. They had a number in the file name before the note name (Strumstick_Finger_Str1_Main_D2... and MBira1_pluck_Main_A#1.... )
