For the love of God, is there really no way to convert wav files to a Zebra osc?

How are people converting these things? Every other wavetable synth lets you easily import wav files, why can't I at least just convert a wav file so I can use in Zebra?

Why?!

Post

Have you actually tried googling 'wave to zebra' ? Ive just checked 4 of the first options that come up, and at least two are still available (Temper and Wav2ZebraOSC)

You probably assume that "wavetable synth" means it plays back a short audio file, but Zebra doesn't do that, that's why there's no simply loading of audio files.

I billion times! Temper has never come up and Wav2Zebra is defunct. I've been looking for like a year.

Nope I want to import other single cycle waves into Zebra. I'll just settle for single cycle right now and not even wavetables.

There will be in Zebra 3, which is on target to be released in 3485 by a sentient version of the internet that’s enslaved humanity.

Thanks but does this work on Mac? it looks like it's only Windows which is what I think I learned last time I tried using it.

I think people get it to work somehow on Macs but I don't know how

Post

By using WINE.

Thanks, the Wine wrapper? I just don't understand why there isn't a simpler way to do this.

Post

Yeah, the Wine wrapper. It is what it is, original developer did not port this tool to other platforms.

If you specifically need Mac software, dont generically ask 'how are people doing this'. We're not psychic.
