I also mentioned it during a ticket with extremely long loading times with Kontakt 7, Maschine 2, Komplete Kontrol and battery 4 - there is still no interest to solve this issue - priority is to release 100th scoring library for Komplete

Makes one wonder if some really clever analyst figured out that typical NI customers don't actually use the stuff they bought. Ergo it makes more sense selling new junk than fixing and developing their products further. :?

Now don't be so cynical and unduly harsh on the private equity corporation...

They haven't been working on a scoring library...

No way...

That takes up way too much time and uses resources that will cut into their bonuses...

They've just been banging out a few beats and some farts and pops for Maschine and then turning their focus to the ad copy and the graphics to sell it all with a cool name and some overblown hype
No auto tune...

It now also opens fastet than 4.3
Not as fast as 4.2 but fast enough to keep it also as vst2. Haven’t loaded an old project, but hope it’s finally working

On windows i never experienced slow opening times, using VST3. Maybe it's a Mac thing?

They also fixed bugs i never noticed, like Cubase project file size increasing after saving the project again.

Just released:
Battery 5!

I've just run through a bunch of tests. If you moved sample libraries, you will still have to locate them. But once found, and your DAW's project has been resaved, Battery will now remember and load correctly, unlike the previous version. 3 years for this...unbelievable.

That's all I've ever wanted. Up 'til now I've had to create a new track, add Battery and load the appropriate kit, then copy the MIDI data from the old track and delete the old track. Just pressing save will be Nirvana.

Yep, saving the changes was the problem.

I wonder if there is a way to let Battery automatically relocate missing samples. It would make sense to define alternative locations and let Battery automatically look for missing samples in those. Then the updated paths would just be saved with the project and everything would be good without any user interaction.

What really peeved me was that every new computer used exactly the same drive and folder structure, so it didn't really have to go looking, but it still refused to work.
