Waveform Pro Track Display Issue...HELP!

The track display when recording exhibits many seconds of no signal before starting to display the incoming signal (waveform). When input stops (either I stop singing or I stop playing instrument) I have to wait to stop recording as the waveform is still being completed in the display. If I stop the recording before the complete waveform is displayed I lose the undisplayed waveform. After I am finished recording the clip I have to trim the blank section before the displayed waveform and then shift the remaining clip to the left to align it with previously recorded tracks. What do I need to do to have the recording waveform display in real time? NOTE: I have performed the Input latency Auto-Detect procedure properly for my Focusrite Solo and 0 latency was detected. Thanks for any help offered!

Sounds like you have set the Time Adjust setting for your audio input. If you set it to a very low value it will behave exactly like that. I just tested with the lowest value of 500ms and it records the waveform display noticeably after the sounds I make and if I stop recording before it shows a certain waveform, it doesn't record that part at all.
There are a few ways to find that setting. One is through the Setting main tab. The others are in the Controls Panel at the bottom and the Actions tab. (It's always shown with the Auto-Detect.) The default setting is 0, which puts the line in the center of the control.
Don't get it confused with the Trigger Level, which should be -INF (all the way to the left.) That's another one that people can change without noticing and then think evil spirits have taken control.
I haven't found the Auto-Detect works very well. What I do is repeat recording and adjusting the time manually until the setting manages to fix my bad timing.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Are you recording into any high latency plugins? Does it sound in time when you are recording? I just struck something similar yesterday. The setup was: midi keyboard > Waveform Chord Companion > Waveform Pitch Shifter ( here's the latency) > Serum. I was recording midi and it sounded ok playing it in, but the recorded midi clip was offset by the pitch shifter latency. Didn't figure a solution yet apart from disable problem plugin.
