Curious what Manuel thinks about this.
As a work around you could duplicate the oscillator a few times so it feeds the layer multiple times and then set the layer to use a random oscuillator.
Ok, but that doesn't sound like a good work around. Better if you talk to Mike again :)
And pls consider the sample fav system, SOOO much potential. To many good samples to just memorize where they are!

Anyone know how to lock the: amp/filter/reverb/delay etc as you could in previous version?

Ps. I wish there was a lock for the Arp. Set it to off when going thru presets.

Thinking about buying nexus5. Would any nexus users here say it has good brass and strings patches?

Post

Yes, there's some nice brasses and strings, but remember you can also import and create your own. ReFX also has Hollywood Strings and Brass expansions that are pretty great too.

Sample Folders would be better than just favoriting, don't you think?

Post

I'd take both, both sample favoriting, folders and I'll raise you the option to search any folder for missing samples!

I like favoriting, sample folders are good too

Post

I would be glad to just have the same awesome system thats in the normal browser!
And the random selector as well.
It's a "shame" that you can't edit factory/exp samples. Sometimes there's a glitch/noise sound that you wish to edit out.
Or just want to change the start point for a sample that maybe clicks etc.

Celestial Dreams is out now - Contains 159 Presets

The video is a two hour, un-edited patch walkthrough.

I had about 3 other banks planned and a possible fourth of the leftover 500 (not the best of the best presets) but at this point, I wonder if this is wise to put more effort into this.

Is there any interest in 3rd party libraries for this synth?

I just added a $5 intro reduction discount to the above bank. Hopefully that picks things up a bit.

I think there are a few challenges. First is ease of install and then browsing - I honestly don't know, but are your expansions visible as a regular expansion?

Second is a personal take, others may differ. Nexus' bread and butter is EDM (in its broadest definition). Over the years I have a megaton of it in the synth. Just with the last update there were over 1,000 new presets, and a huge amount is EDM-focused. I'm just not interested in ANY new stuff that feels like it covers more of this ground, which includes almost all of the official expansions. I just did a very quick skip of your walkthrough and it did feel a bit more-of-the-same, which may be unfair.

I guess I'd be most interested in expansions that feel focused on stuff that refx doesn't really cover as their bread and butter. I know they have the cinematic range, but even their DNA feels a little familiar with the SQs and all. So maybe banks of focused all-playable specifics might be the best avenue for third party?

I could be skewed, don't take my word for it...

Thanks, I appreciate that input.

Maybe I should stress a money back guarantee, no questions asked?

Generic EDM is not how I'd classified the bank but I realize shifting through 2 hours video might be too much, might be more convenient to just give people an opportunity to browse the presets themselves with that guarantee.
