I hope Pigment becomes a VR open world synth in version six
I make electronic music - DAW of choice : Live 12

Pigments is one of the best granular synths out there by the way. While I don't think the synth oscillators are great, it's worth it purely as a granular synth, and still nice to have the ability to add tones under the granular.

MiniFreak has nice oscs, but the modulation section is very limited and the single filter type, too!

So I wish they would add all the oscs from MiniFreak V... So the workstation had all the digital oscs available. These then combined in ringmod, etc.... A dream!

Pigments thought as a real workstation.

They already have it as an effect, that you can apply to anything

https://www.arturia.com/products/softwa ... s/overview

It has an envelope follower so you can literally load up any synth or sampler in front of it and make it granular

Maybe a bit more patience is in order

Not sure, the external audio can be used in the utility engine, cannot be processed by the granular engine that's inside the sample engine afaik .,.

Maybe they lost the code?

I was responding to the poster who said

"they should rip off the granular sampler and put it out as its own instrument"

They have no need for that as Arturia already has the granular engine from Pigments available as an effect you can put after any instrument you want

For simple but awesome sounding granular sampling using Arturia's Emulator II sampler

If you want to keep it in the Arturia family use CMI V, Synclavier V, and Emulator II V to play back the samples. CMI V will impart a gritty lofi digital grittiness to the sample, Synclavier V will have pretty clean playback especially if you boost the bit depth, and Emulator II V will sound warm and awesome with its excellent filters. Emulator II V also has the ability to load and play samples of any length. I do that all the time

Then if course you can use other tools for sample playback like Omnisphere, Falcon, HALion, Kontact etc

Gritty grittiness is the best kind of grittiness.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP
