hallo!
I can't figure out how to use event generator and event processor with my midi hardware instruments.
to explain myself better, I "add track" and "choose target module" by selecting my midi interface, so
I don't have any slot to set event generator and event processor.
should I deduce that event generator and event processor can only be used within virtual instruments?
sorry if the question is perhaps stupid and many thanks for your help

What about adding a new track with new rack, then route the event output of that rack to your midi interface.
Now you can insert midi modules in that rack that will process the events that come from the track before they go to midi out.

That's what I'm trying to do with no success .. take in example:

1 - add trak
2 - '+' to create new rack called 'rack 1'
3 - track > choose target module > composer > rack 1 > rack 1
4 - track > choose midi channel > i.e. '1'
4 - insert slot in rack 1 > i.e. 'aftertouch to modulation converter'

and now how can I send to midi interface ? I find a 'send to event output 1' but it seems an audio send with his volume
I'm feeling dumb ...

Not sure if it makes a difference, I always create a new rack and drag it to the track column to create a new one. Does that help?

well, it's a smarter way to add a new track, good to know it !
but is the same, I can't send to midi out and the output of the rack predicts only audio outs

Ah ok, sorry I couldn't help.

By default a composer rack outputs events to the composer event output.
By default a composer is inside the project modular area and it's there that you need to connect the composer's event output to the project event output = MIDI output.
To access the project modular area click the "Modular" button just at the right of the project name display.

Note that thanks to the modular approach, which is very alike being in a studio and connecting cables, you can insert other modules before the events are effectively output to MIDI out.

Hope this helps you sending to MIDI out.
If any questions left, just ask.

many thanks Raf, I'll try this .. but I can't figure out how to connect only 1 channel and arrange it in the transport windows
what about enabling rack slots to accept event output (with dedicate midi channel), midi effects and then output to midi interface ?
perhaps in Mulab 11 ;-)

If you want to send the events on a track to a specific MIDI channel on the target module then right-click the track -> Choose MIDI Channel
and arrange it in the transport windows
I don't understand what you mean.

All this already is in MuLab 10 ;)
