I think it'd be much better to do something that's made for Zebra3 that uses less CPU intensity, while still sounding fantastic in it's own right. Repro is trying to emulate the Prophet. The Z3 filters don't have to sound like this or that synth. In fact, it probably would be better if it was more homogenous. But hopefully there's some juicy analog-sounding filters.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2025 4:07 pm Is there any hope of seeing one of the RePro-5 poly filters in Z3?
I get why adding RePro modules to Diva makes no sense, because then, why does Repro need to exist? But I think those filters might be a good addition to Z3, especially if they could run in stereo without melting CPUs.

For me, it's more like, "you have all these killer filters, cross-polinate them everywhere it makes sense". Especially in a semi-modular like this. Someone in Eurorack has a plethora of different filter flavors available in the marketplace. So they can get several different flavors. U-he has a plethora of different filters available. But those filters get oddly segmented in "this one only appears here, this other one only appears there, these are in two products" and Filterscape doesn't have them all! I was sort of hoping it would be more like "The Drop" and be the place where all the great U-he filters ended up outside of their synths. It just seems bizarre to me where it won't harm sales (like sticking RePro modules in Diva for example) to not cross-pollinate the filter code more.Shiek927 wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2025 5:41 pm I think it'd be much better to do something that's made for Zebra3 that uses less CPU intensity, while still sounding fantastic in it's own right. Otherwise, I'll always be thinking, "wonder what this would sound like with the RePro filter". If you're Hans Zimmer, you may be able to get a special version of Zebra (I'm of course referencing Z2 HZ having gotten the Diva filters) but the rest of us don't have that same kind of pull.

That sounds great, Urs. I'm really looking g forward to Zebra 3.Urs wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 3:56 pmIf you purchased Zebra2 and The Dark Zebra before it turned into Zebra Legacy, then yes, it'll be a free upgrade.Alexander_D wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 3:01 pm I am so exciting about Zebra 3! Waiting it so much! It will be free for owners of Zebra2 and Zebra HZ, right?
For people who purchased Zebra Legacy we're discussing a limited time voucher style option, but given the bargain that Zebra Legacy is, one should not expect a huge discount, maybe something like 20%. In any case, if you have Zebra Legacy, I'd recommend to subscribe to our newsletter (it's non-spammy!) such that any such time limited opportunity isn't missed out on, should we be able to offer it. (latter partly depends on how our web team can free up resources to implement those vouchers, as they are very busy upgrading our web stuff and support things)
For owners of the Zebra 2 license (but not The Dark Zebra) - before Zebra Legacy, is uhe still planning to allow them an upgrade path of 30 euro?

There's no release, this is alpha and I'm not aware of any expected final release date. Sorry to rain on your parade but for me a release is something I can trust as officially available and supported...

That's unthinkable. If you want to avoid crucifixion by Nick Batt fan club you need to include POO - Pwm Only Oscillator into Zebra 3 and make it default oscillator or even the only oscillator.
