Don't know that one, but multi-output plugs need to go in rack filters:
Right-click the plug and select "wrap this filter in a new rack"
The plug is now running in a rack, and the filter that has appeared in its place just routes MIDI / audio back and forth.. copy this filter to a bunch of other tracks, and select different outputs for each one.. you still just have one instance of the plug, but each output will appear on its own track.

bumpity bump,
I'm not getting much help here
I've asked Voxengo what the problem might be and they that perhaps Tracktion doesn't handle multi i/o plugins correctly. The only other multi i/o plugin I have is Reaktor which works fine, so I'm not sure how to start eliminating things as the cause of the problem.
Is no one else here using PS? maybe there's a button I need to press to get it working..

I don't use PS so I can't help. I do use a bunch of other multiouts though, including a couple that I write myself, and if anything should make cause Tracktion grief it would be them. It all works fine.
I imagine you've overlooked something somewhere in your rack set up. You could try testing pristine space with a patchbay filter rather than placinbg it in a rack. If it works there, your rack is wrong.

Damnit, I tried your suggestion putting a patch bay filter after the PS and rewiring channels 3/4 to the two main outs of the patch bay filter, but I 'm getting no sound. zip. zilch.
From the overwhelming response I've had, I can only assume I'm one of the very few Tracktion AND PristineSpace users, so I'd better go and ask Mackie, or someone who knows him.

I went through this about a month ago and emailed Aleksey at Voxengo. He determined that it is, indeed, a Tracktion problem, as Pristine Space works in multi-channel mode in all the other VST host's he's tested. Unfortunately, my other two applications are Vegas and Sonar and the VST wrapper doesn't support multi-channel.
Oh, and I also sent a report to Mackie. There has been no return report.

ah, now that's interesting. another failed attempt, thanks for that kL.
As soon as my membership for the Mackie forum goes through I'm on my way to finding what can be done. I'm getting used to using Tracktion and Voxengo's PS is a damn fine tool - I'll be sad if I have to ditch one..

Illogical. Every multi-out I've tested works in Tracktion, so by the same flawed logic, I've determined the fault lies with Pristine Space.kL wrote:I went through this about a month ago and emailed Aleksey at Voxengo. Strange, this is the first I've heard of it. I'll try to get Aleksey and Jules in touch about this.
Thanks,
Ben

This is the reason this community is great. "Something is not working? We'll hook up the developers and make them fix it!"Beno wrote:Strange, this is the first I've heard of it. I'll try to get Aleksey and Jules in touch about this.
I look forward to a fix (from either end)

But there it is.
(Or isn't, I should say...)
