It took a little while to realize that it takes it's signal from the input of a module, not from the output. So if you select "Filter 2" as a source, the volume knob of filter 2 has no effect on the envelope follower. Still, you can build some cool feedback systems and your own compressor in quite a few different places in the overall synth signal path.

Can anyone tell me what kind of CPU use you get with FL Studio (preferably on an i3 Intel). Thanks. I'm at Pigments VS Serum VS Avenger stage in gear lust now.

Idk about Avenger but Serum is lighter than Pigments on the CPU without a doubt.osiris wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:56 pm Can anyone tell me what kind of CPU use you get with FL Studio (preferably on an i3 Intel). Thanks. I'm at Pigments VS Serum VS Avenger stage in gear lust now.

Thanks H. I already have Vital, but I see Serum everywhere, aren't they (kind of) similar?

Right, yeah Ive been here for it. Im a long time customer of NI who is fairly disgruntled by the goings on of the last 4-5 years, and I criticize them as hard as anyone else. But Ive also played with MassiveX for a few years now and its undeniably a great synth for many reasons, and at the same time Ive listened to people mercilessly complaining about its "sound quality" and "laughable features" for *years*. I hadnt seen anyone, yet, say "pigments<x> sounds weak, Im going back to massiveX or something".kraster wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 9:16 amI think the majority of criticism of MassiveX is more criticism of NI for their lack of development of it.Milkman wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 12:20 am
Pigments(6) sound signature is glorious, it is varied, and I have no idea why people need to follow their strange impulses to say (in this thread) that MassiveX is better. Ive been listening to people bashing on MassiveX on KVR for *years*, but whenever something else comes along that needs bashing, MassiveX sounds better? lmao okey dokey chokey.
In terms of development Arturia have been exemplary with Pigments. Multiple free updates with significant improvements. What's not to love about that?
In terms of sound MassiveX is in the absolute top tier of soft synths. I haven't read anyone criticising the sound of Massive X personally.

If you buy any of the expansion packs, including the new Explorer vol. 3 bundle, good luck actually downloading them. Store is still borked.
After a very long time, the Store in the Pigments app finally loaded, but now the downloads are queued and just sitting there, doing nothing.
Every year it's the same thing. Their server must be running in someone's closet.

v5 was one of the worst synth in terms of cpu utilization. Maybe that's why they are able to come up with new features very quickly every year.osiris wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:56 pm Can anyone tell me what kind of CPU use you get with FL Studio (preferably on an i3 Intel). When Pigments 5 was released, I tested and found that Diva is lighter synth than Pigments.HOTF wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 5:44 pmIdk about Avenger but Serum is lighter than Pigments on the CPU without a doubt.osiris wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:56 pm Can anyone tell me what kind of CPU use you get with FL Studio (preferably on an i3 Intel). I keep making huge epic space opera pads in Pigments.. and they are 100% useless in actual music.
Another Space Pad bM (Google Drive, mp3, 2mb)
That single preset with just a few notes fills the entire frequency spectrum.

Urs once stated that Diva's highest Quality - setting is equivalent to Repro's lowest.

That tells me a lot. Diva did not run well on my machine.
