Hi everyone,

in DIVA, I would like controller 11 to simply affect the output volume for all patches. I mean, just like for example in Omnisphere and many others products, with value 127 playing the full normal output of the patch and 0 it being silent. So it's kind of an attenuator if you will.
afaik this can't be assigned globally, so I guess it would be a feature request to provide a checkbox for that?

(If I assign ctl 11 as "Control B" to the main out knob it is not scalable but makes it go way up to 200%, so that's not a good workaround. Did I miss something?)

Hi Uli,

you can attentuate the volume by adding any of your performance controllers/inputs to modulate the volume in the "Amplifier/Pan" panel, there's a "vol mod" there, maybe add Control A or B there, and make sure that that one is set to CC11 in the preferences of Diva. Then turning up your MIDI knob/fader (the one that sends CC11) will turn down the volume to zero (i.e. it will act as an attentuator, not as a volume knob, so up is quiet, down is loud).

Cheers,
Viktor

Hey thanks, indeed that would work for most patches as a workaround (well, with reverse effect and needing to edit and resave the patches). Generally, the combination of Ctl 7 or track automation doing the basic leveling and ctl 11 doing smaller and faster volume changes is quite common I think, so my feature request still stands :)

You can already automate the volume knob in the Amplifier panel, and modulating the volume by attenuation (down to silence) should also be straightforward. Is there something you can't achieve with this combination? Maybe I'm missing something.
