The free preview for the Bass Explorations expansion includes a bass that uses the vocoder iirc.Dirtgrain wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 11:58 pm I remember some SeamlessR tutorials where he used the FL vocoder on basses. Maybe that FL vocoder had some tricks up its sleeve. Does the Pigments one seem like it would be useful, similarly?

for me, at least, the link doesn´t work. takes me nowhere.epiphaneia wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 2:41 pm Did anyone buy these 3 new "explorations" soundsets? 1.350 presets for $60 sounds good, but are these actually good/useful/add something to the already large number of factory presets?

Unfortunately that is not possible. I don't know why Arturia lets you retrigger things with almost everything, except for the Combinator module.. which is where the EVF is located.Ah_Dziz wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:35 pm the update is great. Is there a way to trigger the regular envelopes with the envelope follower? That would be crazy cool but I haven't found how to do it if it's possible.

Probably it's to avoid feedback retriggering. You can't retrigger sources with themselves and as the combinator allows you to use multiple sources it can easily lead to confusion so I guess they left it out.

The LOFI filter is a nice addition, takes a bit of work but does the job nicely when using the pre/post filters.
If I had to choose only one synth... this would probably be it.

I have to agree with everyone praising this update. Pigments 6 brings some truly beautiful enhancements, and the Modal Engine is a standout feature for me and opens up so many creative possibilities.
I’ve been experimenting with it as part of a new soundset I’m working on, focusing on expressive, cinematic, and atmospheric textures. Here, you can listen to a preset that uses only the modal section to create a sitar-like tone, with macro modulation emulating strumming.

You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Is it just me who feels the preset browser is just getting more and more bloated?

I love the preset browser--being able to sort by favorites and then by type of sound rocks.DrGonzo wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 5:49 am Is it just me who feels the preset browser is just getting more and more bloated?

Oh, cool! Didn't realize they added MTS-EPS support! Thanks for mentioning it.j[b++] wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2025 10:17 am The addition of MTS-ESP support in Pigment 6 is the topmost feature to me.
Thanks a lot Arturia!

You'd think that they could just make it so feedback can't be wired up.... There's tons of stuff that handles this automatically. Even better, they could allow feedback patching but add a full buffer block and a little message that says, "feedback path detected, delay and odd behavior may result". Making it so feedback isn't actually "possible" would be the quickest fix. They could still add a little message/ pop up if you try to patch it. Still, a great update for one of the better synths I've gotten in ages.bmanic wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2025 12:59 pmUnfortunately that is not possible.
