They should hire Bulent, Markus or Urs and get it over with. They squash bugs quickly.

I've been begging about this for years. Is there any hope this will be properly fixed, or is there just zero willingness on Roland's part to do it?
They don't care at all for a tiny bit, is it not obvious at this point??

I think one day it will all collapse into zenology and then have some shitty excuse.

I wished they just pull the plug, delete the whole cloud, transform the lifetime keys to permanent serials, give apologies and don't come back to the plugin game till the higher ups are committed and not think this plugin game is just a phase or something.

I just imported a preset I converted and got this mess:

I know I could rename each one myself, but it should have something where it will abbreviate the amount of characters.

It should handle it like the hardware it emulates and display it properly.

Yeah it seems that way unfortunately.
Hey samlletas. The XV-5080 is not having the same issues as Sound Canvas. CPU fixes for the XV-5080 are in the works and we've made progress in this area. We will hopefully have a fix released for this soon.

That would be great. However, I first reported it 4 years ago so I’m not too hopeful.

Hey Jon, my comment was more about pointing out that the XV-5080 situation feels kind of similar to the Sound Canvas in respect to updates/fixes (Roland mentioning they would look into it, years went by, only for the plugin to end up being discontinued).

In any case, it's good to know Roland is looking into this, I'm on Windows so I'm not affected by these CPU spikes but I'm aware that many people on M1 Macs are.

I remember reading somewhere that the issue was at framework level (JUCE). Perhaps updating JUCE to a newer version could potentially help?

to be honest I'm a bit disappointed by their offer, though they seems being almost perfect clone of their hardware counterparts , but most of the boosted clones from other companies (D16, Arturia, etc...) aren't such bounded inside their original limitations,...this is my first impression

I’ve confirmed that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming update. I have yet to hear about a release date for it, but this fix and others are in the works.

In the meantime, a temporary workaround is to rename the .bin file to a shorter name; you can only type in 5 characters before it begins to overlap. Once the fix is implemented, it should automatically abbreviate the name, just like the JV-1080.

Hey Jon, have you guys had reports of the Jupiter-8 VST3 not working in Bitiwg? All the others VST3's work in Bitwig that I've tried. And the Jupiter VST3 works in Ableton Live. So it seems to be specifically that combo.

This is the error:

Honestly Jon, that is not really a fix, like at all

It's 2025 we shouldn't be forced to limit the length of our self created presets to 5 characters.

It's a rather pathetic indictment that the fix is just to have the software automatically chop off anything longer than five characters and that "fix" has taken years to actually come to fruition and still hasn't happened yet

I have not seen this! I tried looking through previous tickets and nothing there either. Let me ask around and see if anyone else has had this issue and I'll send you a DM when I hear back. I might need to get some more information from you to create a ticket. Appreciate it, Echoes.

Great thanks Jon. I’m on the latest MacOS and latest Bitwig Studio and latest Roland cloud versions.
