What’s the oldest VSTi you still use today ?

If you really need that old digital delay sound, I'd say set up Reason's The Echo and do some sound design to match. Notable features:
* Feedback loop accepts other plugins, so you can add any noise/crush/filter/comp to dial in the feedback sound.

I did exactly that yesterday, with Blamsoft's bitcrusher in the feedback-loop, and got pretty close to what I like. I set the quantiser value to 12 bit and downsampler frequency to around 8Khz.

On a sidenote, I recently found that on my almost forgoten soundcloud, I have a few tracks with each having a few hundred plays, but one track that I made back then has almost 15000 plays ... and it uses several instances of ET-301 (which is mentioned with the track, as it was a KVR-OSC entry). Not sure it has that many plays because of ET-301 though, but hey...

I miss that delay, and if anyone knows of a replacement that runs on Apple silicon I’d love to demo it! Yes, it has “that special element”, a grungy, lofi feedback that I absolutely loved.

I don't know if this runs on Silicon but how about "Dubstation" v1?

Yeah, that bit crusher is great for authentic digi circuits. Throw in a kHs Limiter too in the feedback loop and crank up the feedback without blowing speakers. Eg: Bandpass - bit crush - limiter. Modulate the cutoff and voilà, new territory...
