Huh? I thought it wasn't a partnership, but an interface - similar to SoundCloud. To use Splice to its full extent, you have to take out your own subscription there.
Just like any other partnership, their collaboration is based on a contract that, in essence, expires after an agreed period and needs to be renewed.

The duration of a contract depends on the nature of the partnership. For software integrations (like Splice & Studio One), mid-term contracts (3–5 years) are the most likely, as the market evolves quickly and companies want to remain flexible.

Could make the same case for Melodyne, unlike Cubase there would be no audio editing without its integration.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Features for which they lack the technology or the time to develop themselves are simply integrated through other providers via partnerships. In principle, this wouldn’t even be a bad thing if it weren’t for the overwhelming flood of subscription models.

I think Fender wants to keep Studio One relevant in today’s market without investing too much money.

A smarter strategy would be to acquire other companies and merge them with PreSonus. They could buy Celemony, UVI, or another company that develops high-quality VSTs. This way, they would cover exactly what they are currently missing, in my opinion.

I have installed the new cinematic instruments (after eventually finding the download!), it says installed but I ant see it any where- any one had this issue? I am not having a lot of luck with 7.1!

I tried the demo, it’s ok. Not overly different feeling to the last version imo. Some welcome
features. Not something I would pay $150 for,
certainly though, I will buy the upgrade during
a decent sale.

Did you activate it? You can check via the Menu "Studio One" --> "Activate Purchased Items..." on the Start Page.

Got it thanks- I had dropped the downloaded file on S1 and it said installed and activated but I still need to go to install in S1 and run a file. Seems more complicated than normal!

This is a test using Studio One 7 with 175 synthesizers running simultaneously, including heavy synths like Omnisphere, VPS Avenger, Icarus, Pigments, Zebra, etc.

*** Master vol. 0% ***

Only MIDI, triggered simultaneously, handling all 175 tracks with mastery and stability.

Incredible performance on a 2-year-old processor:

12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900H 2.50 GHz

Actually it doesn´t matter how many instruments are playing but how many voices/oversampling/additional processing etc...

If each instrument is playing just one voice without much other processing... 175 voices aren´t that much...

Does anybody else experience popping/clicking sound while playback even with 1 synth on 7.1?
It was fine before 7.1. I could run whole mixing + mastering plugins and synth in one project at 64 buffer size without a single clicking noise. Now, loading Pigments and playing a 8-voice preset makes the CPU meter inside S1 turn orange. (about 20-30%)

Having this problem with a system of 9950X CPU and 128GB RAM.

I’m not sure if you’ve paid attention to the video, but I’m triggering chords simultaneously on each track of the 175 synthesizers loaded, like 10 instances of Avenger, 10 instances of Omnisphere, 10 instances of Pigments, 10 instances of Icarus, 10 of Zebra, and more. Try doing this in your DAW and see if you can even get close to 100 with these synthesizers, show it in a video.

It seems like the issue you're facing could be related to the audio driver. Since everything worked fine before the update, it's likely that the current driver version is causing playback problems. You can try updating the audio driver by checking if there's a newer version available for your audio interface. Another option is to use a different ASIO driver, such as ASIO4ALL, or the one recommended for your audio interface. Additionally, you might want to experiment with adjusting the buffer size, as it helped you before.
