No wet audio from Graindad after installing full version

I was using the demo version and it was fine. After installing the full version, I get no audio when the wet knob is turned up. I can see it's detecting transients and filling the buffer but no sound is coming out.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem persists. What could I be missing? I'm in Bitwig 5.1.9 in Windows 10 64. Also tried in Reaper and it did the same thing.

Yep, no wet sound from any preset. I'm wondering if there's a lingering file somewhere when I uninstall that isn't letting me fully clear it out.

You could try Revo Uninstaller to make sure all traces are removed.
It's a very handy free program.

I checked the manual and it says without a valid serial the plugin will produce no sound, but I checked the little about screen with the tractor and it says my serial is valid. I guess I have no choice but to open a ticket with support.
Edit: Support got back to me, and after reinstalling for the nth time it just started working, presumably just to make me look like an idiot.

the same is happening to me... wondering why I paid so much for a plugin that does nothing...

The first important hint is: In contrast to other effects (which rather run as an "on/off based" effect) Graindad is grid based and therefore will need a MIDI-clock signal or in internal mode a MIDI note, to fire up the effects.
Which means normally you just insert Graindad on the track with your audiomaterial on it and it should run with your DAW when you press the Play Button of your DAW's transport panel.
Or if MIDI mode is active in Graindad, if you press a MIDI note.
If it still doesn't work, please check if the presets are present in Graindad's preset browser.
Presets should be in your User level documents folder.
/Users/[Your Username]/Documents/Sugar Bytes/Graindad/
In case you have multiple user accounts on your computer, make sure to install Graindad on the User account you will work with your DAW afterwards.
Please also check if the serial is marked as valid in the About Screen of Graindad.
If it shows as invalid please just directly reenter the serial there or when you reinstall.
Double check that you enter the correct serial by hand to avoid copy/paste errors when installing.
Normally, when Graindad only outputs silence it's an invalid serial or missing preset problem
but if the presets are there and it only happens with specific presets you also may make sure that Dry/Wet mix is set to fully wet here:
Note that the Dry/Wet has three dynamic/VCA trigger modes:
Hope this helps.
Best,
Nadine
