I'm trying to place my order on Dave Smith Instruments' Evolver right now, but JRR Shops SQL db "has too many connections" or whatever.

Anyway the little wonder should grace my table in some weeks  ... it's like Crystal H/W - what more could a man wish for? (I already have one perfect blonde ;))

RE: Circuit bending - I also have a crap Casio and an extra piccolo Yamaha Portasound rotting in some dark closet, would it do any good to try to CB them?

P.S. I used to have an MC-303 but maybe that doesn't count

Korg Z1, Two Siel DK80s. This is all that's left. I haven't really found a VST to replace the mighty Z1 and the Siels are mainly left for nostalgic purposes and midi controller duties occassionaly.

synths I have:

-korg poly61(very limited sound pallette but has a lovable raspiness to its sound)
-Yamaha DX7 used as midi controller (for sale at the moment)

I would like to own an Alesis Micron and a Roland Jx-8p

Bend it yourself? If so how easy did you find the process?
The reason I ask is I am planning to bend a Casio battery-powered thing with keys ( shittiest sounds ever without FX, fact ) :D
cant help sorry ... bought it on ebay from some mad scientist down on the UK south coast ...

My kit:

Korg EA1, Korg ER1, Novation K station, Yamaha MU15. Not exactly high end, but I can barely use what I've got!

Try a search for either Reed Ghazala or oddmusic- the basics and theory of bending circuits is all there. One of the basic tenets is only to use battery powered instruments/toys, so you can't fry yourelf on 240v :D There is a UK site where you can send your thing away to be done, but I'd rather do my own and be totally responsible for the results. And with a Casio there isn't much to lose...
P.S. I rather fancy an Evolver too, to process my bass trombone.

Thanks, dry bones

Mad stuff over at this Ghazaladudes site 8)

You're right, there's really nothing to lose with those toy keys. And, as they are battery powered I think I'll get me a bag of mixed electronics and a can on pink paint :) will make a nice rainy day project.

...only to process trombone? :?

Rrright... if there only was two of these ;)

But hey, I thought Tracktion wasn't really _theee_ host to be used with external synths? How do guys use your H/W? People seem to have nice bits of kit, I hope they aren't just lying silent, waiting for T2?

Quasimidi Rave-o-lution 309
Yamaha SU200 phrase sampler

The SU200 has never been used much. The sampling capabilities of my PC far surpasses it.

I'd like to use my 309, but I think the back up lithium battery needs to be changed. I have no idea how to do it, so now I'm left with a synth that keeps selecting a different kick drum every second or two on its own initiative. Someone please help me!

Not just for trombone, but some of the things it can do would probably make me sound like the bass trombonist from hell 8)
