A Patchwork feature request. Midi-keyboard!

Sometimes you just want to lie on the couch and play around with synth sounds without having to start your DAW.
It would be fantastic if Patchwork could implement a midi keyboard so you could play on the computer keys.
I know there are "Midikeys" for Mac OS but it would be much nicer and easier to have everything integrated into Patchwork.

That would indeed be nice, but as you mention the Midikeys solution works pretty well. So with the huge list of requests currently in the pipe for PatchWork, I don't think this is likely to happen soon.

It's gotta be pretty long list for my request 2 years ago not to be implemented. ...a way for your plugins to scan the plugin directory, and scan each file, then add to the list of plugins that we can use.
OR create a API / scripting language that we could code this feature as a addon to your plugins.

It's indeed pretty long and keeps evolving. Everybody wants more all the time
.
A quick look at the changelog will give you an idea of how much work is constantly being put into PatchWork (and it's only one of many products): 6 free updates in the past 2 years, with tons of new features and enhancements. And there is a lot more to come. Of course I wish I had more time for more!

People could help you create new features for your plugins, if we had a scripting language that we could use...hint, hint.Blue Cat Audio wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 4:23 pm It's indeed pretty long and keeps evolving. Everybody wants more all the time.

Maybe even somehow make it where your Plugin Script is able to compile special plugins for your plugins. Or create a API any plugin or program could access to enhance your plugin?
If you give enough access to the scripting language or API, it could even be possible that we could create our own patches, if need arises, and share with the community.
Anyhow, I'm getting ahead of myself.
Just incorporate a Scripting language or API. into patchworks and MB-7.

There are already quite a few ways to enhance the plug-ins (KUIML, scripting, third party plug-ins support etc.). Developing a higher level scripting API for each plug-in is a huge task and would probably slow down other developments for quite a while
.
With Plugn Script you can indeed create plug-ins and export them as VSTs that can be loaded in all Blue Cat Audio plug-ins hosts. That's a good way to extend their capabilities, for sure!

Can Plugin Script interact with your plugins so a user could program it to multi load vsts?Blue Cat Audio wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 5:07 pm There are already quite a few ways to enhance the plug-ins (KUIML, scripting, third party plug-ins support etc.). No, third party plug-ins loading is not available from Plug'n Script.
