don't know it is a great sound, but it is one patch, played with MPE, and therefore can sound quite different... home brewed sample in standalone.... EDIT: patch also from scratch.... and i repeat; MPE, live recording, imported in one of my DAWs, augmented -a bit- with UA Silo...

better description on SC page.. the best, because almost alone Crusher-X, (most other examples, Crusher-X has big role, but not alone... used it a lot by the way....)

so, it is my great sound....

next to the program list, drop down... there is an icon, without tooltip, with a + in it, there are some starters, one is: reset....
thanks that is what I was looking for and within a few minutes its a definite purchase now. For me this is the crusher-X is was hoping for - much easier to use and with even greater possibilities

Here is a playlist with quite a few of my CrusherX experiments collected over the last years. No CrusherX 11 vids contained yet. Some of these sounds I would consider to be "great".

I bought version 10 6 months ago and now I'm discovering version 11 which I think is fabulous.
It's remarkable that accsone is constantly perfecting its software and takes user suggestions into account to such an extent. The new features compared to version 10 are major and managing to fit everything into the interface is a tour de force that accsone has achieved with intelligence and good taste.
The GUI is as beautiful as ever, the only negative point for me being that the Grain view has lost some of its brightness, as has the keyboard (although the idea of differentiating between octaves is, of course, a very good one). But these are just details, and to stay with the details, I'd like to talk about the random generator. I've always been surprised that you can't adjust the amount as you can, for example, in recent versions of Reaktor or Absynth. This would be useful because I've obtained very good results by slightly modifying the parameters of the factory presets but I recognise that being able to morph the random is something extraordinary (already in version 10).
I'm still not happy with the Tilt, which is announced as the game changer. I was really looking forward to the percussive effect because I find it a bit of a poor relation to crusher-X, unlike MGranularMB which often produces great impacts. By only modifying the Tilt parameters from scratch (Reset), I find that the musical result is rather banal. However, when combined with other Grain Modulations, I think it becomes much more interesting. But that's just my first impression after only a few minutes of testing. Unfortunately, there's only one preset that uses this new feature (and I think it's a great shame that there are no new presets with this version) but I imagine that a Simon Stockhausen might change my mind!
Unfortunately, the demo doesn't allow you to test the 8 macros, but the possibility of having up to 8 DCOs is simply fantastic! It's like having a whole new instrument in your hands! I'm afraid I'll be spending days on it!
To conclude, I feel that version 10 represents a giant leap forward, which, in my opinion, fully justifies the price of the update.
The number of parameters (and their interactions) is becoming so incredible that crusher-X is only missing one thing: a virtual AI assistant!
Bravo!

Update :
1/ accSone
2/ upgrade/crossgrade and not update
3/ I've worked out how to access the 12 macros. Great

Update #2
TILT: I don't need any more help, I just convinced myself this morning. I'd created an inharmonic sound with Absynth, put it through crusher-X, randomised it and then experimented with Tilt's parameters. Unlike yesterday's experiments, this time I got some extremely interesting things and, indeed, some very percussive sounds. These percussive sequences were even repeated at different tempi (I don't know whether this was due to Tilt itself or to other Grain Modulations because I didn't think of it at the time). In any case, the musical results of the different Tilt settings were very convincing.
I'm going to order this new version today.

A program, no matter how complex, is useless if the sound quality is lamentable. In my opinion, this kind of pseudo-scientific video game has nothing to do with crusher-X professional audio.

sound quality of DUST is as good as crusher-X - what evidence do you have that it is not?

I am unable to provide you with proof. My ears and my brain work in the shadows. After a second, without my being aware of it, my ears told me that the audio quality was not good and my eyes let me know that DUST's GUI is hideous, unlike crusher-X's, which is a model of good taste, even elegance. You have your ears, I have mine. That's just fine. That's what we call biodiversity.

claims to poor sound quality need more than just some subjective impression - this is people's livelihoods we are talking about. DUST is good software, as is crusher-X. I have both because they each have their own unique strengths.
As for GUI aesthetics - that is subjective. GUI usability on the other hand is less subjective

Each granular synthesis software has its own specificity, and each can bring its own sound signature that the others cannot. So sometimes it's a good idea to use more than one, as long as the sound result is satisfactory. I also own two large granular synthesis programs: crusher-X and MGranularMB. MGranularMB gives me things that crusher-X doesn't (multiband, transform and an excellent random generator), but I have to say that I find the audio quality of MGranularMB less good than that of crusher-X. However, it's still at a very high level, which I don't think is the case with DUST.
No one is immune to this problem, even the greatest. For example, if you listen to Native Instruments' recent Reaktor Ensembles, the quality is irreproachable, but from my subjective point of view, two stand out: Rounds, whose quality is also top-notch, but whose design is truly innovative, and Morph, also very innovative, but whose audio quality ..............is unfortunately unsatisfactory. I come back to it from time to time, as the creative possibilities are enormous, but I leave it again, with regret, because of the sound quality.
