A bit late to the party, but is it planned to improve the preset management system ?
For exemple :
- Being able to rename the favorite. For exemple when I'm searching for a sub-bass preset, I never know if it's grey or blue. It would be much easier to search inside the sub-bass favorite, instead of a color. It seems to be a pretty simple update, but it's a game changer in managing the preset in U-he synths (IMHO)
- Being able to create some kind of playlist, like in the Arturia's synth Pigments. When working on some sound design project, it's always nice to be able to create some kind of temporary playlist, i.e. a collection of presets you don't need to keep after the project, in which you can navigate easily.
- Simplifying the tagging system

Repro is on sale at Plugin Boutique for $104 until March 3. I'll demo Multi/Poly native when it comes out before deciding on which to buy.

Repro-1.vst3 contains both Repro-1 and Repro-5, just like Repro-1.clap and Repro-1.component contain both.
As Repro-1 was originally released as a single plug-in and because some hosts can't handle name changes, we simply added Repro-5 to it and stuck to the original name. IIRC (but can't verify during vacation) there's some information about that added to the user guide and possibly one of the ReadMes.
We do not do separate files for products that bundle VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP plug-ins. So it's the same for Filterscape, Zebra2 and Uhbik. Each of these and Repros come as single binaries containing multiple plug-ins.

Now you have me confused. What of my explanation does not make sense?
Let me put it very simple, just to be sure: Repro-1 and Repro-5 are two synths bundled in the same binary file for VST3, which is called Repro-1.vst3. The reason it’s called that is given above.

Hi U-he friends,
Since I have lots of VSTi synth I am a little lost about some U-he update related subjects such as:
How can I check the versions of my Repro 1/5 I have? I have looked at the GUI and couldn`t find it!
Downloading the most recent update at U-he product page will require to enter my serial number again?
If I had changed the default VSTi installation location when I first installed my old version, the new version will install on top of it or it goes to the Default location?
Will the new update delete our user presets?
Finally, as a sugestion, think of including an update available option link at configuration at GUI.
Really thank you and sorry for those basic questions!

You can just download the latest from website, you don't have to enter your serial.
Don't move plugins after they have been installed. Installers cannot know about this, they will always place things in the default locations.
Beware if you're on Windows and if you saved your own presets in the same folder where factory presets were, installer WILL delete that folder. So make sure your own presets are in UserPresets folder!

Those should all be in UserPresets too, I'd say.

look at the red/orangy info-display: it should display the version number (and below your registration name)
below the display it tells you the revision number, plugin format (vst/AU/CLAP) and machine format

If there are any user presets in the factory folder, those user presets won't get deleted. Just the factory stuff.EvilDragon wrote: Fri Mar 28, 2025 1:38 pm Beware if you're on Windows and if you saved your own presets in the same folder where factory presets were, installer WILL delete that folder. But yes, in general, it's always best to keep user presets in the User section.

Ah, ok! The warning message in the installer doesn't seem to make that distinction. But good to know!
