Please just forget this chipi troll and let's keep this nice and interesting thread the way it has started, so that it doesn't descend into the usual KVR slugfest! /JHS

In fact, I would pay good money for a VI of the Roland SH1000, preferably with an optional polyphonic mode.
The SH1000 was my first synthesizer, which I used on top of my tonewheel Hammond. Stupidly, I used it as a (partial!) trade-in when my music shop owner friend persuaded me that the DX7 was the way forward.
He was right, of course, but no intuitive knobs to twirl and no beefy SH1000 bass.
Oh, well. I wonder if I could persuade Björn at Full Bucket to make one. He just made superb work of the Bucket ONE, based on the Crumar Bit 01, now blessed with a knob-twirling optional I/F. My third synthesiszer in those days …

I guess he just meant, running a full blown Wavetable synth through a good old CR 1604 will make it sound more analog.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

How much better does it sound today, or tomorrow? We need to keep the observation record
Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

Wow! Someone is gonna need some burn crème!IvyBirds wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 5:47 amWow so what you are saying is that a flagship Wavetable Synth with three wavetable oscillators that can also do sample playback, additive, FM and other things like super saw is better at synthesis than a recreation of an obscure 1970s synth with a single analog oscillator?Chipi wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 1:38 am Icarus 3 by Tone 2 sounds 100 times better than this toy, just sayin'
Wow thanks for letting us know, not all heros wear capes. What would we do without you and your expertise

For some reason, this is the most polarizing product we've ever made in nearly 14 years of AudioThing

That's because it's a controversial recreation of a labor of love product. Don't let the naysayers curb your enthusiasm. Labor of love products are often the best products for those who also share the love of the product.audiothing wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 5:05 pm For some reason, this is the most polarizing product we've ever made in nearly 14 years of AudioThing![]()

The Res-09 is a winner!
I just dreamed away half an hour with the preset Blues. And then, when I added GG's Spin Leslie emu – wow! A monster!

No RS-09 announcement? Have to say I always wanted the real one to go with my SH-09 back in the day. This will do nicely.

Yes! RES-09 is finally out. We've decided to take a break from posting announcements on forums, but I'm still around and happy to answer any questions.
