Dear all,
Can somebody help me out. How can i setup 4 computer keyboard keys say F1/F2/F3/F4 or what ever works to switch CC's to my Kemper Player? I have a Novation launchkey keyboard but play live without keyboard and only guitar. So i would like to leave the keyboard at home to keep the setup simple.
I want to switch CC 17,18,27,29 which switches the 4 fx on or off. On ableton its easy. There must be a way to do that in Bitwig aswell but i have no clue.
I use Drivenbymoss script for the launchkey coukd that be a possible solution with the generic script or something?
The kemper player receives midi and is visible in Bitwig as midioutput and input i have it working with the launchkey custom setup. But as said before i would like to keep the controller at home!
A grid specifically for this task? I have no experience with the grid.
Any good advice much apperciated!

To answer my own question may anybody having the same, i inserted a MIDI CC device and mapped the CC's to 4 buttons which you can map to keyboard keys. It is not that straight forward as with Ableton but it works.
Now that it works i have saved it as a default device state.
The only drawback is that when you insert the device as a new device it lost its keybindings. So you need to map them again to corresponding keys. May anybody have a trick for this then this is welcome!

Unfortunately the custom keyboard/midi mappings are saved with the project, so if you want that to persist, you’ll have to save it into a template or common project that you start with. Don’t think there’s a way to import them.
If you want a more global way of mapping keys to midi controllers or vice versa, there’s a great 3rd party utility called Bome’s Midi Translator. The free “classic” version can only convert from midi to keystrokes or other midi, so you may need to get the paid version to do keystrokes to midi. There may be other free utilities out there though.
