ilok dongle and ilok cloud are the most idiotic things ever created. You paid for the software, you should be able to use it under any circumstances. If they want security for their software, find a solution that doesn't impact my work.

By no means, I'm not a fanboy or a hater.
It's just not for me.
I believe that today there are many, many other plugin options to be subject to things that disrupt your workflow.
Just to give an example: A friend of mine who works with soundtracks needed to deliver a project. He was without internet for 2 days and his Slate (subscription) plugins didn't work.
He had to mix in another studio.
I told him that if he used pirated Slate he wouldn't have to go through this, but as a paying user he did.
That's at least something to think about.

You probably live in a country that doesn't have internet problems like Brazil, or where Google is cheap. Here we have some problems that maybe the people at UAD or Slate don't even know exist.
