Hi all! Long time no post :)
I want to get back into the U-He club, I've been thinking of getting Z2Legacy. But if Z3 is comming out with in say a year, should I save my pennies?
Hope everyone is well and thanks for the input :)

Hey, long time no see :)

So, Zebra Legacy is really really good value for money. Loads of presets. If presets are your thing, this is it, and you can already try the demo and check if the presets (or the sound design workflow) are for you. Good price, many presets.

When Zebra 3 comes out, if all goes well later this year, it won't have nearly as many presets. It will however have really cool sound design capabilities that exceed Zebra 2/Legacy. It won't come as cheap as Zebra Legacy though. Future stuff, fewer presets, steeper price.

We are currently thinking about introductory offers for Zebra 3 and there's a chance that we'll have an exclusive one for owners of Zebra Legacy (Zebra 2 licenses purchased prior to Zebra Legacy have a regular upgrade path anyway).

IMHO get Legacy now. It's insane value and I doubt you'll scratch the surface of it before Zebra 3 comes out.

Zebra Lagacy vs Zebra 3 is exactly the decision delima I'm faced with...
I'm leaning towards Legacy for it's HUGE pallet of preset and the fact I am not a accomplised sound designer.
On the other hand, I've been following a few Zebra 3 beta threads and I'm hearing people already psyched at it's
capabilities and sound quality in it's current beta state. I even heard a few guys say that they are loving their results
while barely scrating the surface of understanding the synth. I'm on the fence...

Is it in the plans for Zebra Lagacy to continue to be suppported for a good amount of time?
How good would Zebra 3 be and emulating sounds from like the late 70's to the end of the 80's?

Zebra Legacy will certainly be around for many years to come, probably even get ported to Windows on ARM and receive maintenance updates for systems and stuff.

Zebra 3 plays in a different league, sound-wise, can do anything 70's/80's easily, but of course it will not come with so many presets. We have high hopes that because Zebra 3 starts out with tens of thousands of users from the start, sound designers will see it as a great opportunity: Many users, little competition, no pre-existing galore of sound packs.

The current pre-order price is going to be the best offer for Zebra 3 for at least two years.
