Waves Element 2 Preset Management Disgraceful

This is one of the best sounding VA synths out there

Element 2 and Tone2 Saurus 3 are the best VA synths that are not dedicated emulations, IMO!

I know this is a very old thread but I just found it when trying to troubleshoot a problem I've been having with Element 2: I can program and save my own presets (either as Cubase built-ins or as Waves XPS files), but whenever I load a project that uses Waves Element, all Element instances load with the default "Full Reset" sound. I can re-load the presets and they will work normally in the project, but if I save/close/reload the project, all Element instances are back to default.

I even paid to upgrade my Element licenses to see if this was a bug fixed in a more recent version than the one I originally had (was using v12, now have v15), but nope- this plugin simply does not recall my user presets. This obviously renders this a useless tool for me.

I haven't experimented with whether it remembers factory presets. But for my purposes, I programmed all my own sounds, and I can't be bothered to manually load my presets each time I work on this track. Not planning to use Element again, which is really disappointing because I love the everything-on-one-page layout and I like how easy it is to program for a 2-OSC synth.

Try in a different DAW. Sounds like the vst ini file is being overwritten when project loads.
