After fixing some last minute niggles, a slightly newer version is now available directly from the Tyrell product page:

So, the current skin was provided by Amazona. We can not maintain it ourselves as its designers have no work relation with us. That's why some errors in it (some wrong labels IIRC) were never fixed.
We will eventually create a new design for Tyrell N6, because we need to add things over time, e.g. if we manage to add MPE support, if we wanted to add new features, for our efforts to become accessibility compliant.
Sure, the current skin may look great to some, but it does not fit our design principles. So as we need to eventually do our own design, we'll probably go for something closer to our more recent designs such as Colour Copy or Twangstrom or Filterscape.
Furthermore, we're moving away from bitmap based UIs to vector based ones as the gap between small screens and 8k monitors widens. Bitmap based UIs are fast becoming CPU draining performance bottlenecks.

This is great news. Even though the current interface is cool, I think bringing it closer to the features of other u-he synths will make it more modern and functional. I love the color copy interface, I think it's perfect. I'm looking forward to it, even though I know there are many more important things ahead at the moment.Urs wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 10:16 am So, the current skin was provided by Amazona. Sound cool!
(You mention in your post that it ships with over 1.000 presets, but it's around 660 presets, maybe a few more, in its current release)

Hmm, my apologies, apparently I looked into the wrong data:Viktor [TUC] wrote: Fri Mar 28, 2025 1:11 pm

In Search History -> All Presets I've got 1000+. Changing the figures now. Thank you for correction!

Probably leftovers from the old version. But a clean installation of the new version gives you 669 presets, all in numbered folders.

Most likely so, I have the older version as VST, and the newer as VST3. Might've been a mix-up.Viktor [TUC] wrote: Fri Mar 28, 2025 1:28 pm Probably leftovers from the old version. But a clean installation of the new version gives you 669 presets, all in numbered folders.

Thank you so much for this update as well as the simplified downloading. While I have purchased ACE, Diva and Bazille, I spend more time programming Tyrell because of the simpler architecture.
One question: I will be moving the last version I have currently installed to another folder before installing this beta. Should I also save a copy of the preset libraries? Is there anything else I should save so I can revert back if I have issues with the beta?

You can still download the old version from the Amazona page, in case you want to revert.
But saving a copy of the old library can perhaps be useful, not all of them are included in the new version. Many are though, plus a whole lot of new ones.

Thanks Viktor, I’ve already saved all my Tyrell files off to a folder where I keep removed plugins in case I need to revert. Will be giving the new beta a spin soon. Then if it passes muster I’ll see about merging the old and new libraries. Luckily the patches are tiny files, only 3KB.
