Step in recording- no records on velocity

Hello,
I have a problem with the step in recording function in waveform.
If I record each step it records each note with the same velocity. Is it somehow possible, that Waveform also record the velocity I play on keyboard?

Settings -> General -> MIDI -> Use incoming velocities for MIDI step entry
