Hi everyone, I'm new here. I don't know if this issue is already talked about in this forum so I apologize first of all but I have a problem, I have waveform 11 and when I try to change the pitch to a song the wave stretches out of balance with the tempo, automatically the tracks of the song are put in the "elastic pro" mode and it does not let me select the option of no time stratching, Well it really does select but it doesn't act that function, I still stay in "Elastic Pro" only that I get a new menu button of tools but from there I can't do anything and I don't know what to do. thanks a lot

You might have some trouble getting help specifically for version 11. It's been a while and I feel like the pitch and tempo functions have changed a bit.
By the way, it will probably help to be more specific and, um, correct when you describe what you're doing. I'm pretty sure that when you use the word track, you do not mean track. Also, there are a few methods for changing pitch. Which are you using and in which section of the UI? Right-click? Controls Panel? Actions tab? What's the actual wording of the control you're using? The Pitch slider? The Change Pitch dropdown? The key of the whole Edit? The Root Note in the Loop Properties tab of the Controls Panel?
Screen captures work much better than words. It takes away a lot of ambiguity.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Hello, the work I am doing now is for a musical project where I have to make a series of sequences to release live. I have to change the pitch in one of the songs that are going to be played in the set list, I have all the tracks of the different instruments, backing vocals etc and to change the pitch of the song I use the tool that you see in the orange box marked in the photo, the strange thing is that it doesn't do it in all the tracks

The Controls Panel at the bottom is context-sensitive. In your image the context is an audio clip. (I'm going to recommend again that you not call an audio clip a track, because a track is a thing and it's not that. It's like calling a tire a car.) So it's not unusual that the control in the context of a single audio clip doesn't change the pitch of every audio file in the entire Edit.
You can select multiple audio clips and change the pitch. As to how you can do that and have the tempo remain the same, I'm not entirely sure. I just changed the pitch of an audio clip and it stayed the same length, but I'm using the latest version. Unfortunately, I can't load version 11 without it messing up things for other versions. Hopefully someone else here can help you.

Thank you very much for your help, I have to say about the first part of your message that it is simply a matter of linguistic terms, I am Spanish and in my language the term "clip" although we also refer to it as audio clip we call it "track" or audio trackpough wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 10:47 pm The Controls Panel at the bottom is context-sensitive.
