UAD still worth it?

My only gripe with their native plugin FXs is that they have pretty big latency due to their own implementation of oversampling. I am not against oversampling, but having an option to turn it off. decrease it somehow when working in DAW or before rendering would be fine. 2ms doesn't seem like a lot until you stack a few of them.

And no, I am not talking about PDC; I am talking about the absolute delay these plugins add to the session regardless of your DAW aligning it.

Yeah, I would love that. It's so much slower on my Windows machine (~5sec) than it is on my MBP (<1sec).

Maybe read the thread - this is exactly what has just changed.
Where...What...How ...i missed entire topic hehehe ...thanks for clarifying it,wonderful news :):):)

My condolences. I don't think motballs are safe for that use, best to consult your doctor.

No activation needed anymore, but had to redownload.
I have 1176,la2a and pultec from last promo and these are no doubt absolutely amazing(for the money).
Tried few others, which doesn't impress me so much, but these are real 'must have' to me.
So collections definitely worth it :)

How can you tell?
Test it in PD - easy to see. Then compare it to DMG 1176 or Softube FET mk2. There are already also several reviews on youtube pointing out the same. Too bad - because it has great att/rel action.
There are problems with paid too. Their pultec eqp-1a aliasing as hell when receiving audio with infra information (like a raw 909 kick - sampled ((without HP-d yet)) or from d16 Drumazon 2, where there is a bump at 10Hz). They guy from the UA support said that the original hardware Pultec is doing this too and they have replicated this behavior, so nothing to fix here. Great and knowledged support. Lol.

Why did they have to completely mess up their store and user-area? :dog: :bang: :tantrum:

Whoever is responsible for this should have to leave the company's premises in tarr&feathers!

It looks and functions better to me. What's the problem? The old account UI looked like it belonged to the 90s.

For starters:

- the shop doesn't tell you anymore which plugins you already own, which makes browsing it tedious to the point that I don't really want to be bothered anymore.

- the shop has no "bundles" filter/category anymore

- the user-area makes at best a ridiculously messed up attempt at telling you which products you already own - utter trash!

Post

Yeah, I hadn't logged in the site for a while, but the new design sucks. Not being able to see which plugins you already own while you browse is annoying.
