Affordable monthly payments is what subscription models use to entice buyers. What one needs to check is total ownership cost. Plus, if such tool/instrument is intended to be a permanent (or long term) fixture in our studio and more so in our music. If this is the case, then such a rent will become beyond onerous soon enough.

I agree, but subscription has become a norm with such kind of platform/services, which are able to offer useful workflow improvements together as well. I am also not a subscription fan and currently don't use anything on subscription (except occasional Splice bursts), so I do understand about thinking from long term perspective and to be able to justify the recurring expense.Nspace wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 2:25 pmAffordable monthly payments is what subscription models use to entice buyers. $120 for Output One per year isn't bad if you are making music regularly. We anyway continue to spend hundreds of dollars on music software round the year in general. Guess it is about striking a balance and finding what fits our workflow best.

At least you get to keep the audio after, unlike with Arcade.

Anyone know if “analyzed” music is sent back to Output?
Otherwise, I’d agree the benefit over Arcade is keeping the samples, plus an effective way to search for samples.
And yes, overproduced samples from Arcade. I don’t know if that would change since I think the target audience seems to be those without access to alternatives for recording from scratch, or those used to sampling commercially released music.

Yes, as I mentioned previously, I don't like how Arcade restricts the access to the UI after subscription ends. Co-Producer is indeed better in that regard. I am trying it out now.
Here's what I found about "user audio" in Output's terms and conditions: https://output.com/legal/terms
I just turned off the setting in Output Account > Data Controls > User Audio usage. It wouldn't prevent the upload though.

User Audio
1) User Audio Grant of License: Some Services may include a feature to listen, reference, or upload your own audio from your device or project session (“User Audio”) for the purposes of finding compatible sounds. By utilizing these features you hereby grant a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and fully paid license to Output to store, distribute, modify, publicly perform, and publicly display the User Audio for the sole purposes of operating and providing the Services to you.
2) User Audio Use: User Audio files will remain on the Service for the purposes of operating and providing the Services to you. User Audio may be used to improve the development, accuracy, and relevance of the Services’ features. We will not use User Audio for the purposes of training any generative AI models. You may opt-out of Output using User Audio files to improve our products by selecting the User Audio Opt-Out option in your account at Output.com. User Audio Opt-Out also includes the deletion of any stored User Audio files.

Thank you for looking that up and quoting it here. It was on my list to check it out later, so again, thank you!LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 4:46 pm Yes, as I mentioned previously, I don't like how Arcade restricts the access to the UI after subscription ends. The clarity of their terms is refreshing, especially specifying nothing is used for the purposes of training AI.
I would also opt-out if subscribing, and I appreciate the note saying opt-out includes deletion of any user stored content.

Is there ever any regular time that the Zynaptiq design bundle goes on sale?

FWIW, there's a new sampler coming out this week that you'll probably be interested in.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 4:46 pm Yes, as I mentioned previously, I don't like how Arcade restricts the access to the UI after subscription ends. Related to either of the two apps mentioned above (Arcade/Co-Producer), or different?Uncle E wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 3:43 amFWIW, there's a new sampler coming out this week that you'll probably be interested in.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 4:46 pm Yes, as I mentioned previously, I don't like how Arcade restricts the access to the UI after subscription ends. I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Loosely, in that it's an idea generator. I wouldn't have mentioned it except that it's from one of the most beloved developers and is coming out shortly.Shabdahbriah wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 4:27 am Related to either of the two apps mentioned above (Arcade/Co-Producer), or different?

Oh cool, thanks... I'll refrain from speculating as to who that might be from my personal short-list, and just patiently await the general notification.Uncle E wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 5:16 amLoosely, in that it's an idea generator. It was also on sale late December 2023, just before it was updated by adding Morph Pro 3.Uncle E wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 3:43 amThe last time it was on sale was May 31, 2023.Sebastiantheseeker wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:35 pm Is there ever any regular time the=at the Zynaptiq design bundle goes on sale?
It's possible that bundle has been replaced by the CREATE Bundle which includes more products.
Edit: It has been replaced and at a higher price.
