Hi Collin - I hope u won't be any mad, but can u send once again the title of PD book u once recommended.
I am not using PD, but the book was actually about physical sound design. It was pretty big Bible - I guess over 500 pgs and w/ examples of real sound behavior.
Like create a sound of bullet that missing u 20m w/ speed 960 km/h or smth like that. It sounded like a fun... I once downloaded
the book, but lost it and cannot even recall its name to find it again.

-Loadbang - Programming Electronic Music in Pure Data - Johannes Kreidler
-The Theory and Technique of Electronic Music" By Miller Puckette (inventor of max and pure data ) is also verry good ( and free )
Not free but verry well worth it
-Pure Data: Electronic Music and Sound Design 1:Francesco Bianci , Allessandro Cipriani ( they also did the books for max )
I'd say start with Miller Puckette's book , it's a great alrounder for synthesis and examples done in pure data
Kinda odd to recommend Pure data books in the Architect forum..

I am not a Pd user and the book is not that much about Pd like working w/ sound, which was the reason (obviously) why I was again looking for that book:
Designing Sound from Andy Farnell (689 pgs.).
Thnx Collin for tip..
Exercise 1
Add four engines together to make a large passenger jet. Can you factor out
or simplify any parts? What happens, in terms of beating and phasing, if the
engines are at slightly different speeds?
..
I love this musical approach.

Hi @Colin! Really hope you're doing OK? Wishing you the best and also really praying that you'll be able to soon implement the very much needed positive/negative offset of a step in the sequencers. I know it's been brought up before and you've said that it will be in the next release - this is the most crucial feature that I feel is missing from Architect and there doesn't seem to be any kind of workaround for that.

I really hope Colin is okay. Kind of worried about him. He’s usually pretty responsive.

It's not abandonedrtoip wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 7:51 amIt is understandable that certain events (also accidents) or difficult private matters should be announced by the person concerned. However, since you have received an answer, can you at least say whether users of the products can expect their further development ? Such information would be sufficient without going into private matters. Thanks.gentleclockdivider wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 5:13 pm Got a response , not sure If I am the position to share the info
