Thanks Tiger
I've sent a request to Reason Studios to add MuLab to the list of "Apps supporting rex technology today" listed on https://www.reasonstudios.com/recycle

I don't know Recycle inside out, but i'm confident MuLab's Audio Sequences are at least as good. Curious for other opinions.

I am new to Recycle, but I can already see me using it to convert samples to sliced Rex files for importing into MuLab as Audio Sequences rather than importing the samples directly into MuLab. I'm sure I could create the same results in MuLab, but I do like the amount of initial control you get to detect the transients in Recycle and this helps to speed up the workflow.
Here is a screenshot of the Drum Tools Demo file that comes with Recycle very quickly sliced and fine tuned in Recycle before saving as an RX2:
These screenshots show the results of importing the RX2 file (top) compared to the original "Drum Tools Demo.aif", converted to WAV before import (bottom): The imported WAV would then need to be cropped and extra transients marked/sliced to match the imported RX2 and this would take more time and effort than using Recycle first. I can see Recycle and MuLab working very well together in my workflow.

I used to use Recycle quite often, but ditched it when Mulab got the same functionality.
I never missed Recycle.
For me it's, when you are fluent with, in my case Mulab's, shotcuts and keystrokes, there is nothing else that is faster and more intuitive.
