In the top right of the Waveform browser there is a + icon under the x, which opens a second browser tab. In one browser I select 'Search' at the top and 'Project' from the left hand panel. This is where I often keep track of my renders and imports etc, and I used to use: step 1; right click on file and 'open the folder containing this file' method to navigate to Windows explorer and manage files that way. In the second browser tab click 'Files' in the top, use the arrow or file icon in the top header bar to navigate to your sample folder. Now select a file (or shift click multiple files) and a file icon appears instead of a wav icon. Drag this from one folder to the other and it copies the file across on my system. Or you could have one browser tab with the files tab pointed to a folder on an external drive and the other one pointed to your desktop and drag an audio file across either way.
I also only just discovered that the file icon on an audio clip in the Waveform arranger window does the same thing. So I can render my sample in the Waveform arranger window, name it, then drag the little file icon in the clip header straight into the Waveform browser panel that is opened to my sample library and it exports a 24 bit copy of that clip.
Edit: Waveform 13 latest and Windows 11 latest, in case that's important.
Edit2: It's typical Waveform or typical me that I've been wishing for a more streamlined way of doing this audio file management for ages and it's right there under my nose the whole time lol.

It would be good to implement the user recorded midi clips to follow Chord Track like Studio One and Cubase does.

Fingers crossed that the SpeechToText function that was spotted in a WF13 teaser video, removed from the menus but remaining in the API, will actually work in 13.5
Surely there must be consensus by now...

BUGFIX: I'm running Waveform Pro 13.3.13 on a M3 MacBookPro, and it poof crashes every time I try to export MIDI files out of a project. Is this a known bug, or am I doing something wrong? I didn't have this problem on previous versions of the program.

Chord Track
Yes, I drag MIDI sample with chords to Chord Track and it will write a chord mark. Chord Track could be more flexible even in the vertical direction to make it easier to read. Or the possibility to view in a separate window.
The same when using VST - band in a box. Possibility to drag chord signs into Chord Track.
Thank You
jan

Hi,
It would be great to have the option: export audio to MIDI. I know it's also possible with Melodyne.
Also the option to export an .xml file to use some score editor.
Maybe I missed something.
Thanks

Shouldn't Waveform 14 be coming soon?

Nope. For the past few years they have alternated between a major, paid-for version and a free point-five version each year. So this year we should expect 13.5 and next year 14.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

We're a little behind on 13.5, at that. That's usually out in March or so. But that's fine--right now, 13.3.13 is doing what I need it to do. Of course, I have no idea what features might be included in 13.5 to make me want it.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

12.5 arrived 27 May 2023, but that's the only time it's been after March.Watchful wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 11:14 pm We're a little behind on 13.5, at that. That's usually out in March or so. I still can't take the awkwardness of not having regular a regular send/bus mixer paned window layout, such that I can immediately see the aux return track on clicking on a track with a send. It seems over time all DAWs evolve to the same paned window layout, Cubase now being more or less identical to Logic in that respect.
I mentioned this a year or two ago and someone said there was a workflow involved hiding tracks, I can't remember what it involved and what functions made it streamlined. The aim would be to not have to scroll through loads of tracks to find the bus tracks being sent to, then back again.
Edit: it's using tags to show/hide. Quite handy, but still more messy than the traditional DAW interface layout.

Probably too late to request support for 9th, 11th and 13th chords in the Chord Track but might as well ask. (They're available from the A…G section, but not the numbered section.)
Also there's no keyboard shortcuts for mirror notes vertically/horizontally.

How about adding the ability to loop and repeat 'x' number of times by right clicking the clip? You can do this in the menus, but would be handy to do this by right clicking. Or would it be possible to have shortcuts L+4, L+8 etc to repeat a loop 4, 8 times etc?

It might go against the intended workflow (and so did the mixer view when it was added) but I would love to have the possibility to have a panel with the mixer strip of the selected track on the left of the screen. The plugin panel is great and part of Tracktion's identity but it gets cluttered really fast when working on a laptop.
Apart from that, Clap and .dawproject support would be great as others have said.
