A good tool. I get results quicker and better with than with my dynamic EQ.
It is not exactly overwhelming.
It is rather what I wished it would have been in version 1.
The upgrade price is a nice gesture.

I remember being stuck because of HD failure , the plugin asked to contact support for additional activation.

Post

...ah okay... I thought it was just a serial number since there was no log-in process or anything like that.

But did you contact support and they could help?

Post

yes but i like to have fully functional backup of the plugins i use.My imac recently broke and i turn back to PC but i can't activate some plugins because of restriction amount of activation. Audiomodern do the same , i have to send a mail explaining why i need new activation...i just stop using these plugins.

Thanks for answering!
I guess Per Node would be a bit ott.
I could see this function taking over some compressor duties.
Just depends on the CPU I guess.
I really don't wanna DL the demo though, coz I shouldn't need this :hihi:
Guess I should be happy it's not "per node" :hihi:

Upgrade at $29 sure is tempting though.
Actually, it's lucky I watched a few more YT vids.
I thought the Hi / Lo Preserve was functioning on DB (working on just low or high volume sections), but I've seen it's actually just highpass / lowpass filter. :?
So I think that's a hard pass from me

Somehow ended up triple-posting the same response while editing so see below... (1/2)

Hi / Lo pass are not regular highpass lowpass filters.

Instead they filter the internal detection / area where the plugin will work. It means that when you apply them, the plugin will not process the parts that are filtered out but the sound will still pass through un-processed in these areas.

So let's say you set low preserve at 250hz. It's not like you're filtering your in or out signal at 250 hz. The effect you'll be getting is instead that the plugin's processing will start at 250hz and anything below that will pass through unaffected.

Sounds like one of the videos might have gotten this fact wrong which is why we wanted to clarify here :)

I have an issue where instances of the plugin will not pass audio when opening a session that has instances of Smooth Operator Pro on tracks.

This is mainly the AAX version on Pro Tools (latest version) on a Mac.

Disabling and re-enabling the plugin restores functionality.

Ah yeah, I knew it was just the internal filtering for the detector. Very handy function to have (I mostly use it in Melda plugins).
Does look like a decent plugin. :tu:

I don't think you can code an effect like this with zero latency.
