This is on a 30% sale at the moment along with all the other Fors devices.

Tela is a lovely synth as are all of the Fors devices.

Did they up the price for Opal recently, remember that one being $49 or was that just the Intro pricing?

Your memory serves you well, and it wasn't the intro pricing!

However, those $49 were excluding VAT; as of August last year, the prices for their devices include VAT! From their email back then:

"As a bonus, all of our prices will include VAT (where applicable) with a unified pricing structure that's more transparent and consistent."

Picked up doublet for £12.00 and got Dyad for £23.20 while I was there

Will pick up Tela when there's a version for Windows.

This statement from Ess on the (now defunct official Fors discord server) implies that it's quite unlikely we'll see multiplatform Tela

"We're basically leveraging a bunch of really neat Apple tech to do things that are otherwise extremely difficult (like fluid, responsive, animations etc), so that locks us in to that eco system. But furthermore we just recognized the macOS tech stack to be more robust and letting us deliver high quality software with a very very small team"

Of course, things may have changed since April 2024, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.

Ok thats unfortunate but I get the reasoning.

This part however must be single most hilarious thing I've ever read here:

Virtually every single thread on kvr and gearspace is filled with mac people moaning about the product not already being ready for macOs version X or not supporting version Y anymore.
Meanwhile, windows people can still use vst2 plugins from 20 years ago perfectly fine on a windows 11 machine.
