That's good enough for me.

I think you can just is the curve filter to do this. Draw like a square wave or something and move the filter knob to cut off the upper partialsachapi wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 5:23 am A request: Could the number of harmonics be allowed to slide freely, as demonstrated in the 2023 demo? It would make it much more user-friendly for musical purposes.

Thanks for answering Urs.
Two things… a request to have notches that snap for the knob when you select harmonic or log clusters so you can dial in exact harmonics more precisely
And, is there a way (or future update) to add harmony or upper partials in the additive engine? I was playing with one of the noise engineering modules and they have an additive knob that lets you add harmony/octaves to a wave.
Thanks!

Like dropping samples in? I doubt it.warcat wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 4:24 pm hi, does anyone know if the additive engine in zebra will have a resynthesis function?

It's not made for that. It can turn samples into Curves, and then morph the Curves. One can sometimes get close to the original sample, but it requires a lot of work, and maybe some luck. There are definitely better tools to do resynthesis, which are usually sample based.

Oh, I see, thanks. well, I'm sure it will be great for other things.Urs wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 8:11 pm It's not made for that. It can turn samples into Curves, and then morph the Curves. I just wanted to find a tool for creative vocal samples manipulation, and I thought maybe the upcoming Zebra might be the one.

Previously, I've tried a trial, but I didn't like the UI. But yes, I should give it another try.

Icarus is not my favorite GUI, but it is useable. Icarus is pretty good for what you describe.warcat wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:57 pmthanks! I will.

I don't have Serum 2, but I saw a couple videos which look promising for this sort of thing too.
